Plenty of tasty vegan options

I went for the burrito merida which was delicious. The crispy tofu worked perfectly with the other ingredients and sauce. With so many vegan options to choose from, I will definitely be returning next time I’m here.

Pros: Super tasty , Lots of options , Good value

Pretty good burrito

I like that there's a designated vegan option on the menu. Their burrito has tofu and is pretty good but I wish it had grilled veggies instead of the random cabbage mix, it's just a little one note. Just that one change would help make this a more reliable go to. Recently tried their veggie wrap and with added guacamole, it was super good. It had large grilled veggies and spinach in a spinach tortilla. I think it would have been a little light without the added guac. Also fyi that the burrito comes wet with salsa on top.

My favorite Mexican restaurant in the area

I love this place. Living in redwood city, it was my go to restaurant to bring friends (vegan or not). There is a plant based section on the menu, including faux meats, tofu and vegan cheese. All very authentic and delicious. Reasonably priced qnd portions are pretty big, I always come home very satisfied. Plus the margaritas are great!

Pros: Many vegan options, Vegan section on menu, Vegan cheese and proteins

Better food options nearby

I appreciate they have vegan options but I think the drinks are good and the food is just ok. In this area there are so many places that serve margaritas and have vegan food options. So I usually skip this one.

Definitely a 5

They have a clearly marked Plant-based menu (5 items). They also specific which items are cooked on the same surface as animal products which I absolutely loved. It is nice for restaurants to have that transparency for vegans who mind or don’t mind cross contamination such as that. The food tasted very authentic and was delicious. I had the Mayan Tacos and my other family members had non-plant-based items which they said was authentic tasting.

Pros: Clearly marked Plant-Based Options, Transparency of cross contamination, Delicious food with great portions

Cons: Only 5 plant based options

Excellent loaded nachos, burritos, margarita

Many vegan options, even vegan section on menu. Loved the loaded nachos. Huge portions. And 3-5pm is happy hour so be sure to get the 8$ margaritas (super tasty), chips and guac for 8$, beers for maybe 4? Horhata for 4.50$ (normal price) is super yummy (creamy vegan drink made with rice, cinnamon, nutmeg. Burritos also looked giant. Loved this place. Friendly service.

Pros: Huge portions , Loaded nachos and margaritas, Happy hour and service

Very accommodating and vegan-friendly

A great option in Redwood City. They have a member of this family-owned establishment who is vegan and created the vegan menu. Enchiladas were amazing!

Please note they use same oil for chips as they use for meat/fish but very kindly accommodated us with cucumbers instead of chips and easily left off the cheese on the guacamole

Pros: Five solid vegan options, Vegan-friendly staff, Accommodating and kind

Cons: Chips made of oil used to fry meat/fish, Not an all-vegan place

A Great Variety of Tasty Vegan Entrees

The new menu here has 6 vegan entrees on it. While they are not all totally unique from each other, as the re-use some of the same ingredients, the ones I have tried have been very good. I especially appreciate the use of tofu, soyrizo, and vegan nacho cheese.

In particular, the Arroz con Platano with tofu added is especially delectable. The tofu chunks are breaded with rice flour, so suitable for anyone who is GF.

While I wish there were more (or any!) vegan restaurants in this area, I am happy to see such a thoughtful and high quality set of vegan entrees at a traditional, authentic Mexican restaurant such as this. I can only hope that more places start to follow their lead.

Pros: friendly staff, convenient location, excellent food

Cons: sometimes loud inside, sometimes cold inside

What a surprise!!!

I have never been here because the menu didn’t offer much for a vegan.... that’s as until today when I heard they now have a plant based section. There are 5 items I think and I shared the nachos and the burrito...Sooooo GOOD!! The cheese sauce was incredible and the tofu was perfection. The crispiness it had was fantastic. The margaritas were really good as well. A must try! They added the vegan menu in January or February. Smart move Margaritas! The nachos are spicier and not sure if the added jalapeños were needed.lol. Can’t wait to go back. Probably tomorrow night.

Pros: 5 or so vegan options, Great Margaritas , Friendly employees

Cons: Expensive

Amazing

Was pleasantly surprised to find this place. They apparently rolled out a plant based menu in 2018. I had the Mayan tacos and am coming back to try everything!

Pros: Lots of vegan plates, Incredibly tasty and good sized portions.

Cons: Not really their fault but parking SUCKS!!
