Vegan Cask Conditioned Ale! - Edit
This is one outpost of the Marble Beer brewery, located in the Northern Quarter of Manchester. Don't come for the food (there is plenty of vegetarian choice, like cheese plates, but only the olives are vegan). The real attraction is the vegan ales, including cask conditioned ales. The vast majority of cask ale in the UK is clarified using isinglass, an extract from fish swim bladders. Not the Marble Beers! They are even approved by the UK Vegetarian Society. And delicious - we had the session ale (low alcohol - 3.6%), the Manchester Bitter, and the Boheme (German style, sort of a Pilsner). All were great, favorite was the session ale. We went three times in two days. Staff very helpful, and knowledgeable about their beer.
Pros: Great vegan British ale, Good location, Helpful staff
Cons: Only olives for vegans
