Loved it

Friendly, welcoming staff and massive portions. Cheap too! $3 for a starter soup and a mountain of absolutely fantastic food. Extremely accommodating, despite the language barrier.

Fresh and delicious

This was one of the better restaurants I tried in Quito. On two separate visits, I tried the chaulafan and the set lunch (almuerzo). Portions were very generous for the price, tasted fresh, and included a filling mix of vegetables, legumes, and grains.

Almuerzo (set lunch)

We had a nice menu del dia for $3 a person. Soup as a starter (sopa de haba y col), a main dish (torta de choclo+salsa+aguacate /arroz + guatita + guacate) and a side salad (sliced radish). Warm soy milk was included as well, plus you could serve yourself with some sort iced tea.
Healthy and filling + great deal.

Cheap, healthy and filling

Been here several times for the lunch menu which is simple but cheap, healthy and very filling. The people working there are also very nice! And they sell some vegetarian meat to bring home!

Very nice lunch spot

An enjoyable daily menu for lunch, with a choice of two options for the soup and main. Food was good, pleasant place to be. Busy - we arrived and no tables were free, but there is a little waiting area you can sit down at, and as there's a decent number of tables you won't be waiting too long

Very affordable and nice food

Very cute place with menu of the day for cheap, the meals are nice , come with salad, drinks and entry or desert. They also sell vegan meat to take away.

He tenido mejor/I've had better

Pedí arroz, un "bistec" , una ensalada, y aguacate. Faltaba sabor y condimento. Pero , la verdad fue una de las únicas restaurantes abiertos por el centro. Además ví una cucaracha! Moví mesas!

Pros: Precio

Cons: Calidad

Big servings, tasty, and great value for money

I ordered take away from here: one set lunch and the other a la carte which was a vegan version of a traditional Ecuadorian churrasco (seitan steaks, chips, avocado, brown rice, tomato salsa and cauliflower salad without the egg as it is traditionally served). The set lunch was a choice of rice and lentils or bolónes (made from plantain) with soy mince stew, tomato salsa, and a cauliflower salad. The included soup was potato and vegetable. Lemongrass tea, a corn drink, and bite-sized brown bread rolls were included with each meal. It was so much food for 2 people and only $7.50. The elderly man who served me was so sweet and happy. I hope to go back there again. Note: this is a vegetarian, not vegan restaurant.

Nice small vegetarian restaurant

Food is mostly vegan. Pretty cheap (3 dol. for lunch). It can be very crowded during lunch time (12-14 p.m.).
En general, nothing special, you get quite simple (but not tasteless), food for good price.

Pros: Cheap

Cons: Not completely vegan
