Such good food - Edit
While the location on Google maps took us on a bit of a goose chase, once we got there the atmosphere and food was amazing. It's a small restaurant (at the moment - they said they'd be moving store soon) but it felt spacious and inviting. The food was so so good. Hearty and the perfect amount to be satisfied. I would love to go back and I recommend anyone in the area should try!

Read moreThe gyoza was perfectly browned and crispy, and the filling so rich and flavorful. Excellent!
The mapo tofu has a deep flavor and the tofu had the perfect texture. It had a wonderful combination of textures for a “meaty” feeling.
It came with rice and three sauces to adjust the taste to your preference, and unlimited Oolong tea. Perfect!
The spice level was just right and very refreshing on a hot summer day.
The meal came beautifully served, and from the first bite the flavor exploded beautifully in my mouth. I never smile when I eat (my resting face is rather grumpy lol) but I couldn't help but break into a huge grin at the first bite. This is the first meal I have ever grinned through. It is so good! It tasted like the feeling of happiness in a bowl.
The restaurant has a cozy and pleasant atmosphere, and the owners, Ryo and Shota, were friendly and kind. I felt very welcomed even though I am not a confident Japanese speaker.
Ryo speaks English and answered all my questions about the menu.
I love mapo tofu and am always looking for restaurants that serve it. This was the best mapo tofu I have ever eaten. The only con? Once you eat the food, it's gone!

The second time I visited I had the "Sichuan Pepper Vegan Mapo Tofu and Vegan Goyza".
It has a lighter and complex flavor, but it is less spicy than the "Vegan Mapo Tofu". It is a good option for someone who wants mapo tofu but doesn't like it as spicy.
When I went to the restaurant, four other people ordered it and all seemed to love it as much as I did, so it seemed quite popular! I highly recommend the Sichuan Pepper Vegan Mapo Tofu!

Read moreThe mapo and dumplings are so good it's definitely worth the trip to here if you are away and you are definitely lucky if you are near by.
Everything is vegan and there's English written so you have nothing to worry about.
Dumplings are seasoned from the start and for the mapo they give you three sauces to change it up
