CLOSED: Maoz

Their falafel is probably the best I've ever had, and priced reasonably. Their sweet potato fries, however, are the most bland I've ever had, and pricey.

Sadly, they don't have much more to choose from.

I was in DC as a tourist and we needed a place to eat. We picked this as I had an omni and a vegetarian with me (I'm vegan) and they didn't want straight up vegan. As a vegan, I found something prolifically wrong with this place: it doesn't label all items and vegan or not. I saw mayo or something and that was just chilling there, unmarked. The woman was ESL and just shook her head when I asked about everything being vegan. I'm still not sure. I just hope so.

This is a chain, I see. It being a chain, I'm happy they exist so that there's some places in each city. I thought the food was good but I was preoccupied with the thought of egg possibly being on my fries or in the sauces (which I just didn't use).

Aside from that negative rant, I really liked the food. It was good.

Went to eat here a few days ago, around 9:30 at night.

Service is good and fast. Food also very tasty.

But they do serve egg, which I hope they would stop soon and make it completely veggie :)

I had a great experience in Maoz too. Everything is fresh and there is a wide variety of toppings. Aside from being a chain restaurant, everything is great.

If you have been to one Moaz, and had a good experience, you hope every Maoz will be the same!! I loved the DC Maoz staff. Food was excellent. The bar was clean. I will be back before I leave DC.
