Extra Charge for Hummus??

The food at Maoz is good but I just feel like it is not worth the price that you pay.

Also, I don't understand why you have to pay more to add hummus. Every other place I've gone to get a falafel sandwich has not charged extra for this.

I will say though with the large number of locations around the world it is worth looking up to see if there is one near where you are when you are traveling.

Other than that, I'd prefer to spend my $8 to get a meal at Chipotle or Panera Bread if I'm not at a completely Vegan restaurant.

Pros: Convenient , Salad Bar

Cons: Extra Charge for Hummus, Selection of Drinks, Combo Plans

Maoz rules

New Brunswick doesn't have very many falafel places, and the only other really good one is Evelyn's, but that place is just so bourgie these days. PLUS, Maoz is totally vegetarian, and pretty much vegan, with the exception of one or two salads and two of the sauces.

Their salad bar rules, cause you can keep going back up as many times as you want and just keep piling it on. They tell you that; it's not a dirty punk trick or anything. And I do. I keep piling on those carrots, the broccoli and the cauliflower.

Plus, they even have vegan rice pudding. And wheat pita.

It's pretty much the best falafel place there is. So tasty. I'm sure some people would beat me for saying this, but it's much better than many "real" falafel places.

Oh, and it's also really nice and pretty inside. Finally, the people who work there tend to be quite friendly.

Pros: So good, Unlimited vegetables, Cheap

Cons: Not enough seating

Fast Food goes vegetarian

Maoz has a small selection of either falafal or salad bar with side options of two kinds of french fries and three kinds of juices. The prices are reasonable but they sort of suck you in with "free salad bar" with purchase of a falafal but what they don't tell you is that your "free salad" is whatever you can fit on your sandwich. There are some good salad bar options but a few of the items are not vegan. The fact that a vegetarian chain restaurant exists in NJ is awesome. The fact that it only has falafal in a city where a ton of falafal places already exist is a let down.

Pros: good juices

Cons: not all vegan, no plates for salad, uniformed staff on what vegan means
