We went here a few times while we were in Madrid. I have loved Maoz ever since I tried them in Amsterdam years ago. Great choice of toppings that you can have on the falafel or in a plastic clamshell salad container.
Sadly the toppings were not self-serve like those I had visited in Amsterdam but the staff was generous with toppings.
Great value and very, very tasty. Good for a night-time snack when you're still full from your Menu Del Dia from lunchtime.
Title says it all. I'd love for them to make the salad bar self-service so I didn't have to ask the staff to refill so many times that it looked like I hadn't eaten for 10 days ;)
A lot bigger than their Calle Mayor place, nice interior decoration, and the falafel menu was, of course, Maoz-standard, which means the best falafel currently on the planet. Their toilet was substandard though, no soap and no light (?). Fix that guys, and achive perfection!
I had a take out from here this evening - I'd never been to a Maoz before - and it was delicious! I wasn't sure of the portion size, so I had the Maoz menu as I hadn't eaten all day - pitta with falafel and salad, drink and a portion of chips. Really filling, good choice of salads (including couscous) and friendly staff. Fortunately it's just around the corner from where I'm staying, so I'll probably be back!
ive been to 3 maoz madrid barcelona and paris , this is by far the cleanest of the bunch bathrooms down stairs and seats while the others seem to just have a few seats and no downstairs, the only diffrence is that you dont do salad bar here they make your sandwhich for you which for me is good since most of it is on the floor after my first bite ,
i found it intresting that the one in paris and barcelona is salad bar style , but the madrid chain does all the work for you . also no sweet potatoes or cous cous like barcelona chain
I love Maoz falafel. I'm not a great fan of the fastfood experience but the tasty falafel and salads are fantastic. A great option if you need to eat in a hurry or can't find a veggie sit-down restaurant. €5.90 for a pitta bread + 3 big falafel + salad from bar + chips + drink. There is a real skill to stuffing as much salad into the pitta bread as possible. Very filling and very tasty.
Good old Maoz to the rescue again. Been eating here once a day for the last 5 days. Bargain priced tasty falafel, serve yourself salad and dips. Mega central location in between Puerto del Sol and Plaza Mayor. Best thing about Maoz in Madrid is that it is open when most of the other eateries are closed. Lots of the eateries in Madrid only open typically from 1.30 - 4 in then afternoon and then from 9 - 12 at night. Maoz opens each morning and is open right through until 2 am at night 7 days a week. Yummo. I ate here with non veggies who loved it.
