Great falafel - Edit
A bit expensive, but tasty falafel and nice that you can choose your own salad. In hindsight I’d have loaded up more but the bowl was small. It’s a nice chain where you can get a solid vegan lunch.

Yummy vegan falafel, the condiments are free over to the left. Beware the olive are pitted, I thought I broke my tooth in Europe far far from my dentist in the states, but don’t worry, I didn’t beware of the pigeons they will come and steal your food. Do not feed them, unless you want to feed them, but they might take your food that you paid for. Whatever, I would recommend this place, great place to watch people as well.

I enjoyed a late night falafel pita from Maoz. They fry the falafel fresh and put it in the pita. Next, you can top your pita with unlimited toppings (cucumber, tomato, tahini, cabbage, carrot, couscous, beets, olives, amba sauce, etc.).

beware: if you choose the pita bread, they'll give it to you with the filling and you put whatever you want on it. the attedent didn't explain but I already knew it so I put everything I wanted on it, and you can refil (except the salad bowl). falafels are fried when ordered so everything is very fresh.

Ordered a Falafel Pita which included only Falafel and a little bit of salad. Only after finishing eating I realized that all the other ingredients at the counter are self-service. No one told me, never saw such a concept before. Very disappointing.

This is my second Maoz experience. First was in Barcelona and the proprietor was kind enough to explain the concept. This one didn't seem to want to be bothered. This location is tiny, as well, so maybe seating for six, max.
Read moreI thought the food was better in BCN, but there was still a large selection of toppings. It worked in a pinch, and it is all vegan, so can't complain on that point. I know there's another location not too far from this one, but probably won't be visiting a Maoz again in the future.

When in Amsterdam it’s a bit tricky to find cheaper healtish alternatives but Maoz saved me. The salad bowl with falafel was really appreciated cause you can build your own bowl with all the ingredients you want (it’s self service) and the falafel was fire, crunchy outside and super flavourful and moist inside.

Quickest place to grab a bite when walking in the city center. It can get really busy at times, so be warned. I like that you can get pita or if cutting back on bread, get a bowl. Then, add all the fresh toppings to your heart's desire. The fries and fresh squeezed OJ are amazing, too!

Maoz manages to blend quick service with fresh, tasty food that is nutritious and easy on the wallet. I wish their franchise efforts were more successful in the US! I wouldn’t go out of my way to find a Maoz with all the other amazing vegan offerings in the city, but if you are peckish and happen upon one, you won’t be sorry.

Maoz is a chain with a few locations in Ams, so it’s always handy to visit them on the go. I usually end up in the location next to the Flowermarkt. They serve good falafel pita with fries and salad of your choice. You can sit inside if you’re lucky as there’re just a few spots.
