Such a hidden gem that I didn’t realise was so amazing!
Read moreThe place at kirkstall is quite small but feels wholesome, with the staff being very attentive to any needs.
There were lots of vegan options and vegan versions of things such as the onion bhaji, there was a vegetarian and a vegan option.
To start we got the onion bhajis and the potatoes with curry sauce. Both of them were amazing but the crispness of the potatoes was something else🤤 along with the curry sauce, they were incredible.
Then we got the vegan thali to share which had 2 curries, koftas in sauce, rice, pickles, salad and some fruit. It was full of flavour and I especially loved the sauce that the koftas came in!

All vegetarian restaurant with most being vegan or able to be made vegan. I had the onion bhajis and vegan samosa chaat to start with and they were both incredible and super filling. Had the vada pav for a main and could have eaten multiple of these if I had enough stomachs. The vegan chai was a lovely spiced tea and although I didn’t have it the mango lassi looked great being served to other tables. The staff were really lovely and got food out of the kitchen at a great speed.

Going under the radar - Edit
Second site for Manjits in the city, growing on the popular market food court model. Small cafe style place with an excellent menu - perfect flavours perfectly cooked. Friendly staff, who are happy to explain everything and take the time to chat. If you like bundo, this place is similar, all the craft ales and street food.

Incredible vegetarian Indian food - Edit
Manjit's kitchen on Kirkstall Road is the restaurant of Manjit's Kitchen in Kirkgate Market. The food is truly incredible. Everything is vegetarian, and many dishes are vegan or have a vegan option. Staff are friendly and the atmosphere is very welcoming. I've never had anything here that I didn't love! My favourite is the vegan thali because you get a taste of three delicious curries, with rice, bread, and salad for an extremely good price. There are many small plate options which are great for sharing. The restaurant is cosy and friendly, lovely for a date night or to bring your veg and non-veg friends alike!
