Manjericao
Serves meat, vegan options available. Was one-time veg but reported added fish and chicken to menu (2014). Food ingredients written in Portuguese, and vegans should ask to be sure. Little house converted to restaurant surrounded by a tropical garden. Miniture monkeys live there.

Decent if uninspired buffet fayre - Edit
And watch out for the chicken and fish - it used to be vegetarian but isn't any more. Look out for "pesce" in salads. Generally, the first 80% of items in the buffet line are vegetarian, the last few have chicken or fish.
Standard buffet, with more vegetarian options. Nice, decent - but at R$50 per kilo it's quite a rip-off. The restaurant Solar opposite is a better option.
Pros: That it exists, Decent buffet fayre
Cons: There are better options, quite literally, across the street

hidden paradise - Edit
A little hidden but absolutely worth the search, this snug restaurant is situated in a calm side street next to buzzling streets. They serve delicious bahian food which is combined with nice ordenary salads. All in all absolutely recommendable!

Great vegetarian spot!! - Edit
Atmosphere is like little house in a beautiful tropical jungle. Food is lacto vegetarian and traditional bahian food made it vegetarian style. So much variety you can choose ( buffet style). They are all delicious! Don't forget to order desserts too, Especially "tapioca Ice cream" is to die for!
