Bad - Edit
I got the bean burger. I didn't enjoy it at all. It was the blandest thing I've eaten in Asia and I pretty much live on salted Pringles.
Read moreMy partner got the felafel sandwich and said it was worth a 3.5/5 so maybe just avoid what I got.
It cost 180,000. Can't really comment on the price yet as I've only been here a few days but we've had better Luang Prabang for that.

I thought I'd never reply to this comment, but it's so stupid to be ignored. I have customers who ate the falafel Sandwich and the Bean Burger more than 10 times, so there must be something wrong with them ... I'm sure they don't eat MSG loaded Salted Pringles. If you live on that kind of food, you should not write any food comment at all. Actually you are right, I don't have many Lao customers, because, like most Asian people, they can't eat food without MSG anymore. Good for the MEDICAL industry, but sad for future of our food habits. In short, my food is MSG-free, I use many of the more than 30 spices in my kitchen. That's of course of little use for people who need MSG in their food. Good luck with your health, Peter.

I'm sorry my review has affected you this much. It was my honest opinion. You may have just been off form that day but I wouldn't have said it if I didn't mean it.
Read moreMy partner liked your felafel. I think there was some miscommunication there.
I'm no chef to be fair, but I'm confident eating pringles doesn't mean I'll never be able to enjoy good food without msg. (For example, my partner has had msg and enjoyed one of your dishes)
I wish you every success going forward.

Loved it! - Edit
Stumbled upon this cafe and were so impressed at the vegan options. We ordered the burgers and everything came out fresh and tasty. There aren’t too many vegan options in LP, but this one is easy to come back to again and again.

Solid breakfast option - Edit
This place has some decent vegan options, especially if you're missing western food. It was a bit under seasoned though.
Read moreWe got a weird response from the (french?) owner for thinking that the vegan parmesan omelet would be vegan, because an omelet could never be vegan. Like it literally also says vegan parmesan my dude.
PeterLP
An omelet is made with eggs, if you use anything else, it should not be called an omelet. So, even if you put vegan parmesan on an omelet, it's still not vegan. That was my point! Weird, right? And besides pepper, chili or salt, I use minimum 5 spices in every dish, in some dishes more than 15 spices. 99% percent of my customers love my seasoning, which is missing in most other restaurants. We have pepper, salt and tabasco on the table, so the customer can add salt or spicyness to their own taste. Thank you.

Friendly little place! - Edit
A little difficult to find but such a wholesome little restaurant. The owner was friendly and welcoming, bringing us complimentary water. Food took a little while to arrive but it was delicious. Many vegetarian/vegan options clearly labelled and often cheaper than the meaty ones.
Read moreI had the veggie massaman curry and my friend had the veggie shepherd's pie. We then had red sticky rice (for me) and sorbet for dessert (for her). Rave reviews all around.

Went here at least 5 times - Edit
We went here multiple times for the breakfast. They were usually busy, so prepare to wait for the food approx. 10-30min. 🙏🏻 Ordered from the menu where’s clearly labeled the vegan foods, tofu scramble was our favorite morning food!

Hi there, thank you for your appreciation, it was nice to see you coming back several times.
Read moreI would like to take the opportunity to inform the readers that in the past 16 years, since we opened the business, I never sold a plastic bottle of water, but served FREE MINERAL DRINKING WATER, the best brand in town. You can imagine how many plastic bottles I have saved from being thrown away, must be more than 40.000 plastic bottles in 16 years....

Excellent Taco's & Burgers - Edit
I eat here twice and ordered from them too. The Taco's are great as are the bean burgers and the spicy potatoes. I also had the falafel plate, which was really nice, but a bit small for a main.

Loved! - Edit
Ordered the Asian vegan chicken salad and the tofu tacos. Tacos were sooo good! And the salad was pretty good too - chicken was great considering you can’t really find in Laos. Lots of options but pretty expensive.

Yum with lots of vegan options - Edit
I was surprised at how many vegan options there were, they really understood the difference between vegan and vegetarian. Food was yum, price okay but a little higher than other places and not super filling. It was all really yum though and nice to see some slightly different options!

Delicious food - Edit
Delicious food at this guesthouse which is open to non staying guests. We had a tofu based salad and a chilli which came with wedges. The flavours & textures were great & they really care about their food, as they ran around town looking for a ripe avocado which the chef then added to the top of the chilli. The setting is cute and relaxed. We also ordered some takeaway falafel sandwiches which were really tasty & filling

Guesthouse with free vegan breakfast! - Edit
Stayed here for five days; while it's primarily a guesthouse, they also serve meals and have all sorts of vegan options on the menu. A full breakfast of bread, muesli, fruit, and a hot dish (such as vegan noodle soup) is included in room rates and they take great care of vegans, with special vegan treats from the market, and will get soy milk if you mention that you are vegan.
