A super little vegan/vegetarian place in L'Escala! - Edit
For my 50th birthday we decided to go and try this little vegan/vegetarian place in L'Escala. What a wonderful surprise! Sebi cooks all herself, most dishes are vegan and she clearly says when eggs or cheese was used. All three courses were very tasty and lovingly prepared. We particularly recommend the vegan cheesecake and carrot cake, and will clearly return there very soon. Thank you again, Sebi!

Nice, creative and hand-made food. Great cakes! Serves vegetarian and vegan food. You can have a whole menu or single dishes. Very nice owner who will explain everything. Some chairs available to eat there or just take it away. Will come back!

We went to Mandala as we understood from Happy Cow it was a Vegan restaurant. The owner doesnt speak English, but we understood from her the food was “Vegano”. Whilst eating we noticed that she took eggs out her fridge and began preparing food. Vegans need to check whether their meal is without eggs (sin heuvos).

Menu's price is 10,50€ (without drinks). Food is tasty and well cooked. The portions are more than enough. I think this menu is umbeatable for the price.
Out of the summer season, Mandala Kitchen only opens from Thursday to Saturday. Keep it in mind.

Nos salvó el fin de semana ya que por la costa brava no hay mucha opcion. Es bastante economico para lo que hay por esas zonas y teniendo en cuenta que es un menú cuidado y de calidad (10,50€ primero, segundo, pan y postre - bebida aparte). El ambiente es chulo y la dueña (o camarera no sé si es suyo) muy simpática y agradable. Te dan unos salvamanteles con mandalas para colorear mientras esperas, genial!

Lovely in L'Escala - Edit
Had breakfast here the other morning. Such a lovely little cafe hidden in a street very near the main square and beach. Really lovely welcome from the owner and explanation of what was on offer. We chose the toasted bread with carrot humus, avocado and pea shoots and the toasted bread with vegan chorizo, avocado & tomato and pea shoots all washed down with a nice coffee and tea. The chocolate mousse cake looked amazing too, but we were driving and it wouldn't have survived. Note that this place closes at 16.00 hrs. It's only been open a couple of months and already making waves in L'Escala. Be sure to pop by if you're in town for some scrumptious food from a very skilled chef!

Amazing food ! - Edit
I am so happy to find this place. I come to L'Escala every summer and as a vegetarian (no fish or meat ) I always struggle to eat out . Mandala has changed that ! The food is excellent quality, varied and interesting. I love ethics of the place with regards to packaging and the shop is very beautiful. The owner must work very hard to achieve this dream and she succeeds so well ! The price is very reasonable (especially when you come with ££!!) basically you must try it if you haven't already ! Thanks

Great food and nice service - Edit
All vegan, lots of gluten free option, friendly and warm owner. Everything we tried (been there twice, eat in and take out) was fresh and delicious, from burgers for the kids to stuffed bellpepers and lemon cake. You really want to try everything !
