Great food, great vibe - Edit
Meat free and plastic free. Wish I was there longer to try more of the menu but the food was good, and the music created a great atmosphere. There were plenty people queuing up to come in so was very popular around lunchtime.

Great coffee and amlou toast - Edit
Tasty and healthy option, though it could be more vegan friendly.
Read moreMy husband and I (he’s not vegan) shared a sweet brunch board and an avocado toast. We replaced the cheese on the board with hummus. From that I enjoyed the amlou banana toasts, the fruit, the hummus, and a bit of the fruity chia pudding sitting on top of the yogurt of the parfait.
The avocado toast could have been lovely, but they seemed to soak the bread in oil before serving (not part of the menu description), and eating a drippingly oily sponge covered in avocado and hummus (both also fatty) was for me a disgusting mouth feel. I really don’t know why they would ruin a perfectly nice dish like that.
Service inattentive. Overall, the amlou toasts were the best part and the only thing I would repeat. For me, this place is not worth a stop unless you’re really tired of the local specialties and want something more western. Their coffee is some of the best we’ve found in Morocco, so that might be worth a stop. I would not recommend their almond milk, though. But keep in mind that it’s cash only and on the pricey side.
Pros: Amlou toast, Golden latte, Coffee
Cons: Overly oily bread, Not enough vegan breakfast options

Really cute Place - Edit
We went there for breakfast twice during our stay in Essoauira. We enjoyd the small side dishes, and also the sourdough bread with avocado! The interior is also really cute😄

Healthy, tasty, a little pricey - Edit
Good variety of vegan items to choose from including 2 vegan burgers and 2 bowls as well as some brunch options. I had the bean burger which was pretty good and filling. It came with sweet potato fries/wedges which were delicious! Also had an oat latte, which was especially nice since only finding 2 other places in all of Morocco within 2 months that have oat milk. Also had a strawberry, banana and kiwi smoothie with oat milk which was very very very good!!!

Wonderful! - Edit
Majority of dishes are fully veggie or vegan, just a couple of fishy dishes for the pescatarians. Joyous range of breakfasts, lunches and drinks including the best vegan burgers tasted in Morocco with friendly, welcoming staff and eclectic surroundings with outside seating to watch the world go by.

Really nice place - Edit
I really like the story of the place and the restaurant is beautiful. The waiters know really well what vegan means which is nice. On the map it also states which dishes can be made vegan on request which makes ordering easy. The food was absolutely delicious, however I give only 3 stars because they gave me cheese in the food while I was very clear about being vegan. Luckily I noticed before eating and they took it off the plate. Which I felt so-so about.

For morocco it is a bit expensive, but I would say its worth it due to the quality of the food.
Pros: Beautiful place , Good location , Very tasty
Cons: More expensive than other places

Nice food, not great service - Edit
After being in Morocco for 2 weeks, I have got use to the amazing hospitality of the people, Mandala unfortunately feels like you've entered a chain restaurant where they don't really care if you stay. The food was delicious, once it came, and fresh hence the 3 stars, but I would recommend going to one of the many other options in Essaouira.

Healthy and delicious - Edit
Absolutely yummy food! I had the tofu wok. They had run out of tofu but gave me a whole avocado instead which was delicious. If you can, go sit upstairs, there is only a handful of seats but a great view onto the street. The Moroccan coffee with spices was very nice too! Staff was helpful and friendly.

Great food with lots of vegan options! - Edit
This was my favorite spot for food in Essaouira - lots of vegan options with great portions, and everything I got was so good. Loved their avo toast and tofu quinoa bowl (make sure to ask for them vegan tho, they put a hard boiled egg on my toast) and they had vegan milk options for coffee and smoothies. They also have wifi and it’s a great spot to work or relax for a bit.
