A bit disappointing - Edit
Nice restaurant really (nice atmosphere, good food), but provided that the restaurant promotes healthy lifestyle we did not appreciate that it was allowed to smoke indoors. Moreover, while the food we ordered was tasty, it did not justify the overly high prices! We’ve experienced much better food at lower prices in more expensive countries. So all in all was not that great of a value for money!

Vegan or not - still one of the best in Belgrade - Edit
I have to say that my choices are not always vegan or vegetarian food, but as someone who is born in Belgrade and raised as meat lover - I have to say that this place is one of the Belgrade`s best.
Read moreNo matter what your diet is, here you will find healthy meals and taste is not something you will miss.
My favorites are smoked carrot tartin and tagliatelle with beetroot. When we speak about rich Serbian culinary tradition and specialties - here you can find best desserts that will compliment tradition and your life style.
People who are working here will present their concept proudly and with great pleasure. What I like the most is that this place has family atmosphere and professional approach to hospitality.

Excellent experience - Edit
I wandered in hungover to kill an hour and get over it, so ordered the cheeseburger and chips. It was easily the best version of this I've ever had. Two small double-packed burgers made from five types of mushrooms, halloumi making an appearance too. Chickpea fries could have been warmer, but they were still great. Vegan aioli was amazing. Somehow I got a free caesar salad in there too, which was simple but delicious. Freshly-made juice with whatever you wanted in it. Coffee served with coconut sugar, and with optional coconut milk, one of many milks not on the perfect-English menu. My server had perfect English, was incredibly friendly, and helpful throughout - he recommended a dessert "any Serbian grandmother knows how to make" called ice cube, it was like a trifle base with chocolate shortbread topping and a light cream/milk filling - incredible. Big portions, four hours later I'm still recovering. I will definitely return. It's down the street from the other veggie restaurant, which is also worth a look, though this one is proper upscale gourmet.

Standard fancy restaurant - Edit
Food was good and the place looked great, and accordingly the portions were small and expensive, but that's to be expected in this kind of place. Staff were really friendly and the view from the rooftop was really amazing.

not impressed - Edit
After reading the reviews and walking through the door I had really high expectations. The place looks nice. There were no other customers, but i dont mind. The staff was really slow but maybe they are suppose to (I don't eat in these fancy places that much). The food looked pretty and tasted okay nothing special. Portions are tiny. All in all okay nothing great.

BEST LASAGNA IN BELGRADE - Edit
I am a big food lover and have been vegetarian for a few years now.. its sometimes so difficult to organise restaurants visits as food in some places can be boring... so at this place MANDALA all i can say is you cant go wrong with the CARROT TARTIN, or DUMPLINGS to start... for salad the SPINACH salad is heaven.. and if you want an ultimate tasting meal that feels like a total cheat meal you have to order the LAZAGNA it actualy tastes better than any I have eaten even in my meat eating days... a must visit when in Belgrade even if its just for coffee or drinks..

REAL FOOD - AMAZING TASTE - GREAT LOCATION - Edit
I have to say that i have traveled the world and have eaten some great food, but a friend invited me for breakfast at MANDALA, and explained the unique VEGAN/VEGETARIAN farm to table concept, and all i can say is that my mind was blown away... The location is amazing, however they are still doing work on the street, but i came for the food and WOW WOW WOW... The girl that served us was very friendly and suggested we should go up to the roof terrace as even though it was a gloomy day in Belgrade, she promised and amazing view and WOW did she deliver... one of the best views in Belgrade... HIGHLY RECOMMEND... so on to the food.. The menu is quite extensive, many many VEGAN options, we decided to order a VEGAN and a VEGETARIAN dish so that we can share and were quite pleasantly surprised when we received a 3rd dish which the chef was just trying out that morning... it was a Organic Avocado and Egg Quiche (not sure if it will be on the menu but ohhhh my god it tastes sooo good) I had water and my friend had a organic mix juice. Now i was just angry as i wished it was lunch or dinner so i can try out other meals and Deserts... so i have to say... if i could i would Rate it a 6 stars, apart from the road works on the street.
Read moreYes i am in Belgrade for only a few days more and for sure i am coming here for dinner and hope it will be the same kind of experience and i will make sure i share that with you as well. I will post some photos of the food even though my iPhone photos don't do them justice...

Poor food - Edit
I was disappointed by this place. Nice location, I've expected to be a little more pricey, but I've also expected tasty food with lots of vegan options. Instead, I found an avocado on toast with fancy name.

Classy and very tasty - Edit
Classy and from a Serbian perspective (probably) a little pricy, very tasty food with a fair bit of variation. Close to downtown Belgrade, easy to get to. Vegan dishes marked on the menu altough there seemed to be some confusion about that, so better ask to be sure.

Lovely interior and friendly service but pricey - Edit
We stopped here for breakfast while passing the time until we could check into our accommodation. At first we thought it was an upmarket art gallery (as there was a large sign out front to that effect), and it was only on closer inspection that we saw the Mandala lettering on the front window.
Read moreBreakfast is normally something we prepare ourselves while travelling, as I think paying $10 for muesli or toast is a waste. But we had nowhere else to go, so we paid $10 for toast here. Two tiny slices of toast at that, with thin slices of not-quite-ready-to-eat avocado and a few small cherry tomatoes on top.
The fanciness of the surroundings had me prepared for something sensational, but it was nothing special at all. My impression may have been different if we had come for lunch or dinner, but I can only rate the experience that I had.
Pros: Decor, Friendly staff, Interesting location
Cons: Small portions, Unripe avocado

An amazing find! - Edit
My husband and I were on a Danube cruise and found that this restaurant was only a short walk from where the boat docked. There were major road works going on when we visited and the street was torn up. We were surprised on entering the restaurant to find ourselves in an upscale, modern restaurant with a calm vibe and relaxing music. The menu has vegan versions of traditional local dishes as well as items such as pasta, burgers, risotto and gyoza. Our favorite dishes were the carrot "lox" tartine with vegan chive cream cheese, chickpea crepe with creamed greens and lemon "curd" tart with aquafaba meringue. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner and the prices, while high for Belgrade, were moderate and well worth it for the quality and atmosphere. I wish we had been in Belgrade for longer, so we could eat there again!

Fancy restaurant - Edit
This place is a fancy restaurant. The environment is brand new and very lovely, and the dishes are decadent and creative, however the prices reflect the quality. Expensive for the area, but still low on an international scale. The service was helpful and charmin. Note that there was one item on the menu that contains fish! Most items were full vegan and had a label to inform of such. Other dishes (outside the one fish dish) were vegetarian.

An incredible restaurant with great service. The food was really good and despite a slightly higher price it's definitely worth it to have a look. There is one option with fish but the rest was completely vegan. They make shakes with nut milk instead of soy! Great for those with a soy allergy ;)
