The food is good, the rest is okay.

The food is good, my favourite being the meze box. The prices have been going up, which for me makes it at the expensive side for the experience you get. The staff are not rude by any means, but not particularly friendly either.

They have all compostable utensils, but no reusable ones, even if you are eating in.

Pros: Compostable utensils, Food taste, Vegetarian, almost fully vegan

Cons: Don’t have reusable utensils , Prices are okayish

Reliable Vegan destination

You don't have to worry about people not understanding what vegan means or cross contamination, as this is plant based cafe with 99% vegan options 1% dairy options.

Staff speaks English, mostly friendly and customers are well behaved as well.

Make your own wrap or salad choices are popular, as well as their plant burgers (no mock meat or the like of impossible meat here) which is a good thing. Natural, unsure they use organic for all ingredients.

Highly recommend Rainbow yam with garlicanise.

Pros: Location , Natural food, Affordable

Cons: Staff could be friendlier, some are a bit rude, Too few location

Love

I loved Mana in Central however it gets quite busy and there's not much room to sit. This location has SO much good seating and it's not crowded so it seems like a lovely place to sit down and do some work/read. I got the Babylon burger and shake - both were incredible. A little expensive though

Pros: Chill atmosphere, Delicious food

Cons: Expensive

$50 cheapest half wrap - wholesome food at its best

Mana has come a long way, providing healthy vegan and plant options for HK for so many years. From the tiny Wellington street take away store, to Sheung wan Mana cafe, to now the bigger better Mana wan chai right opposite Pacific Place 3.

The best thing about the Wan chai place is that there are actually really good seating. The food stays the same, it has really improved, it went through a really bad period of food quality dropped, but I'm glad it went back on track.

For $50, you get a half wrap with good quality filling up to 4 choices. My favourites are Tempeh, avocado, rainbow yam, and mushrooms. Filling and best choice for my buck to get full for the money I spent. Most struggle to get full when ordering vegan options, they either have to give up money, healthy options, or location for some decent choice. I would say $50 at Mana satisfies me with all 3 criterias.

They have Kombucha (a bit expensive, and sweet, not my preferred place to get kombucha)
Vegan cheese platter during happy hour, I heard great things about it, yet to go during happy hour. I'm sure the French crowd will love this, or those who can't give up cheese.

Pros: Good value, Wholesome food, Decent seating and spacious

Cons: Dark interior, Too much reggae music - not my thing, Expensive drinks

Worth supporting

The people behind Mana! are deserving of huge respect and admiration. We have been to two of their establishments, and were fed almost exclusively by them at Clockenflap 2018!
This time we were taking a break from our schedule at the Hong Kong Literary Festival 2019, so we popped in for coffee and dessert. All was amazing as ever!

Pros: Ethical, Sustainable

Perfect Find in HK

This is a little gem. Delicious food, desserts, smoothies and coffee...it’s everything you could ask for. A great environment to relax and enjoy a taste meal or just distress. Reasonable price as the portions are huge. Also everything is recycled or recyclable (environmentally conscious restaurant LOVE).

Pros: Options for all. , Everything is recycled/recyclable , Great coffee

they have BREAKFAST!!

Over a week ago, they just launched a new all-vegan breakfast menu; coincidentally the day I popped in early looking for something to devour \(≧▽≦)/
(I was wondering why this location opens earlier than the others...)

I normally go to the Central location, which is totally narrow and hectic at peak hours; this one is clearly so much more spacious and with several different types of seating (barstool, bench, chair, cozy cushions).

Normally MANA is my favourite place to go to for lunch, because the burger set is a pretty good value, plus it's not a middle-finger-"here's a portobello"-veg burger, nor is it the freak-of-non-nature Impossible/Beyond burger. Especially if you order to-go, you can keep that serving of garlicnaise for 2 more days to eat some more xD

Anyway
for breakfast I got the Yin Yang.
It's not too sweet and both sides are nice, although I'm still not exactly sure what it is made from--mostly because I prefer a high-protein breakfast, so more clear ingredients would be nice. It says they change the toppings every day--I would suggest sliced almonds (or something) instead of shredded coconut, just for a more pleasurable textural experience.

This is really nit-picky, I know ;D

Amazing cafe!!

I've been going to their central location for years and was so excited to hear they were opening a location in Wan Chai/admiralty area. This one has a lot more seating - it's really spacious and gorgeously designed!! Can enter from either Hennessy road or queens road east

Love this place and its ethos! They are pretty much the most eco friendly cafe I've come across in HK - they have recycle bins for all the different types of rubbish, use eco friendly cutlery and napkins, and have a zero food waste policy, composting all organic matter.

Most important - the food - it's healthy and tastes great. They have flatbreads (wholemeal or gluten free) made with zaatar (a Middle Eastern herb blend including thyme and sesame seeds). There are signature toppings or you can choose your own. I love their grilled tofu, avocado, cripsy tempeh, roasted veggies and hummus. If I am really hungry I get a full one, but the half can also be filling. There are a range of salads - you can choose which you want and a small box is usually enough for me. LOVE the Inca shake and raw vegan chocolate cake when I'm treating myself.

Most things are vegan although they do have eggs and halloumi, so just check if you are unsure. Seems like all desserts, soup, shakes and the flatbread itself are vegan.

Pros: Ethos - eco friendly and zero food waste, Relaxed and Positive atmosphere, Healthy good food
