Serves meat, vegan options available. Authentic Italian restaurant in a family home with seating on the roof deck. Offers a five course meal that can be made vegan on request (does not have a menu). Note:This town does not have roads. There is one parking lot for the whole town, and then you walk the concrete paths to your destination. Owner will meet everyone in the parking lot around 6:00pm and walk you to the house.

Amazing Experience - Don't Miss!

This is a one-of-a-kind experience. Mamma Luisa's is in a tiny locals town called Nocelle on the hillside above Positano that most people never know about, unless they are hiking the Path of the Gods (the trail starts in this town). Mamma Luisa's is not a restaurant - it is a family home, whereby you come to their home and sit on the rooftop deck with absolutely STUNNING views, and are treated to a 5-course dinner. They are not vegan, but if you request vegan they will make your entire menu vegan, and it was delicious! Stuffed eggplant, grilled veggies, fresh melon...

Almost all vegetables come from the town members itself. (Of interest, the entire little town is made up of two extended families!) The family makes it's own wine, and everything was very fresh and delicious. The town has one parking lot, and the hostess (who speaks perfect English) meets everyone in the parking lot around 6:00 and walks you through the town paths to their house. This was a completely unusual and worthwhile experience. The town (like all of Amalfi) is steep, so be prepared to walk up and and stairs. It was pricey - $50 a person - but we felt well worth it.

We would definitely give it 5 stars, but since only veg restaurants can get 5 stars on this website, we could only give it 4 stars.

Cons: Hilly - bad for people who can't get around easily
