Gluten free deliciousness

Their yuca fries, olive fried rice and lotus root/black mushroom dish were killer and all gluten free!

Very good!

I was recently visiting Atlanta on a solo trip and was excited to see that there was an all vegan Malaysian restaurant, as I'd really enjoyed Malaysian-Thai fusion food when I went to Thailand. I took the train from Midtown to Chamblee and then walked almost a mile each way to and from the restaurant, which is in a strip mall. It was pretty tasty. I had the butterfly pea tea (make sure to squeeze lemon in it to make it change from blue to purple!), chick’n satay, and Chow Kway Teow. The chik'n satay was average. The noodles/ tofu dish was a bit peppery for my tastes, so I ordered a side of peanut sauce to put on top. Very ample portions! I would eat here again and try different menu items.

Go-To Vegan Malaysian 🥢

I’ve been coming here for many years, and it never disappoints. My favorite appetizers are the curry pies and yuka fries — so flavorful and perfectly crispy. For mains, we always go for the Singapore rice noodles and pineapple or olive fried rice — both are incredibly delicious and consistently fresh. If you’re craving authentic Malaysian flavors made fully vegan, this is the place to be!

One of my favorite vegan restaurants!

We’ve been coming to Mamak for years and it is always amazing. It’s bright and sunny, and the food is super flavorful! My favorites are the olive fried rice (literally the best!) and the yucca fries and the lemak curry, but I’ve tried most of the menu at this point and it’s all been awesome.

Pros: Yummy, Good vibe, Good prices

Amazing!

Our first time here was late on Sunday and we couldn’t stop thinking about the food all week long. It’s amazing! So often vegan restaurants are pricey/lacking elevated ambiance, this place is reasonably priced, especially since we have to feed teenage twin boys and the ambiance is bright and airy.

Pros: Service, Food, Ambiance

Quick and Delicious

Great place for a friendly meal or an upscale snack. Plates are great for sharing “family style.” Enjoyed everything I’ve eaten here. A few favorites:
Their mock chicken satay is crispy and flavorful, with a nice peanut sauce.
Their green beans are so savory, and the texture differences between the green beans and mock meat make it more enjoyable.
Their Ho fun is smoky and delicious.
I also appreciate their ordering system. You get to interact with waitstaff, but can independently manage the bill in whatever way works for you or your group via your phone.

Pros: Dining space has lots of natural light, Dishes are flavorful and well crafted, Ordering system is efficient and friendly

Cons: A bit pricy, Dishes labeled “spicy” could be spicier

Amazing Asian cuisine

Tiramisu cake in a cup was delicious. Lychee soda with lychees in it was a big hit. Meals were amazing and I can't wait to go back.

Absolutely one of the best vegan places in town

I love the food, the decor, the prices, the generous amounts they give you. The sambal okra is one of my favorites, hands down.

Pros: The sambal okra, The price, The local

Cons: No dislikes

Not good

Loved the decor. The food wasn’t that great. The appetizer was good. But the pineapple fried rice made us both sick because of the oil they use. We definitely won’t be back.

Pros: The decor , Glad it was all vegan

Cons: They need to use different oil , Price

Wide variety on the menu and everything we had was good. Service was great, ambiance was nice, food was good. Can’t ask for much more.
Be sure to check out their desserts too.

An Atlanta gem

It's frankly absurd that Mamak Vegan Kitchen is as good as it is; places with menus as ample as theirs don't usually offer reliably good food, but Mamak Vegan Kitchen does. They also use some unusual ingredients like lotus root. Highly recommend! I daydream about their meals sometimes.

Always Amazing

We stop here whenever we are passing through and it is always amazing. We’ve tried so many dishes, but one of my favorites is the Lemak Curry. I’m not sure how they get the tofu so perfect, but it just melts in your mouth. Absolutely delicious! The veggies are always perfectly cooked and the flavors here are amazing. I highly recommend!

Pros: Service , Flavors, Portions

Best we've had

We are baby vegans exploring different vegan resturaunts in Atlanta. This was so good. Do not pass on it. We had the curray, mamak chicken, shrimp fried rice and burger. The burger was the least exciting but still good. Everything else was so fresh and flavorful and filling. They also give large portions.

The best vegan food in the city!!

We’ve been going here every single week for years now (I’m not exaggerating)! It’s soooo delicious every single time. Our go-tos are the Kari Sayur and Little Wok Lotus Root. The mango tofu and all the noodle dishes are also so good

Pros: Amazing flavor, Tons of super fresh veggies

Best Malaysian Food in Atlanta

The food at Mamak Vegan Kitchen is so consistently high-quality that it's one of the best vegan restaurants in Atlanta (Chamblee). It's a great place to dine solo, with a friend or two, or in a large group, and the menu has so much variety that it's fun ordering different things and sharing family style. Some favorite recommendations: the Lemak Curry, Sesame Chicken, Pineapple Fried Rice, Dry String Beans, or Chow Kway Teow if you like noodles. Don't be afraid to try something new!

Pros: Kind staff and inviting atmosphere., You can rest easy knowing everything is vegan., Seated immediately and the food comes out quickly.

Cons: Closed on Thursdays., Sometimes they run out of dessert.
