Vegan set menu - Edit
There are vegan options on the menu. I ordered the vegan set menu as that seemed easiest.
Read moreFirst course was a lovely creamed potato with truffle, a plate of grilled aubergine, courgette and pepper, with a plate of avocado, grape, walnut, sprinkled with pistachio and grated orange peel. All perfectly fine, if an odd combination. Primo piatto of fregola pasta with aubergine, peppers and tomatoes in tomato sauce. Fine but nothing special. Secundo piatto was grilled aubergine (again, must be the season), layered with the thin bread that’s common in Sardinia - and made soggy with tomato sauce. Again tasted fine - tomato sauce was good - but nothing special.
The menu had mentioned soya but disappointed not to have any- only nuts in first dish had any protein so big miss from menu.
They had no vegan desserts, just options of fruit. Not even the Veghu cheeses made locally that are common around here.
By Sardinian standards this was all fine - at least kitchen was familiar with what vegan is and had some options. But way behind the curve for plant cooking. Can’t wait to get back to London to eat properly.
Pros: Vegan menu, Avocado with grapes, walnuts etc unusual, Creamed potato with truffle
Cons: Very little protein despite ordering ‘vegan menu’ , Soya on menu was missing , No dessert - even sorbet or Veghu cheese

Great vegan set menu - Edit
Couldn’t be bothered to choose so just went for the Vegan set menu. I think it was the chef we spoke to and she totally got the difference between vegan and vegetarian. We had a first course of anti pasti of courgette, aubergine, and peppers. This also came with olives, potatoes, and really nice sweet onions. Then came a really nice pasta dish, followed by aubergine terrine on Sardinian bread crackers (I know I am not describing it well - but it was really good. Finally a bowl of fresh fruit (melon, watermelon, kiwi, peach and cherries). Beer was good. Wine was good. Coffee was great. It was quite windy so we couldn’t sit at the front where there are really nice views across fields out to sea.

Top!

Pros: Toplocatie, Volledig vegan menu, Prijs

Gentilezza e gusto - Edit
Purtroppo il menù vegano non era ancora disponibile essendo aperti per la stagione da pochi giorni, ma sono stati super disponibili e ci han preparato dei piatti al momento, tra cui una pasta con verdure e zafferano molto gustosa.
