We both had a great burrito with an Indian twist. This place has huge portions and isn’t all that expensive. The food is great as well! There is a lot on the menu for whatever mood you’re in!

Best burger ever - Edit
One of my go-tos since I started. Great menu in general, I usually chose the korma BUT only because the mushroom burger is so rich and succulent it should be left for special occasions. Seriously tho, a meat-eating friend of mine listed it on the best burgers she has tried in general.

Great food and atmosphere. We had dinner outside with the four of us. Only one person vegan but we all enjoyed our meals. After this visit we returned 3 times and really loved all the food. The Greek specialties are very good. Service is excellent 👍🏻

After reading all the great reviews I was quite excited to try this place out. Maybe I chose the wrong item though, as it didn’t live up to expectations. I got the vegan burrito that although nice was mostly rice that tasted very Indian. It was nice enough but wasn’t the Mexican flavours I was expecting. The staff were lovely, the interior is nice and cosy though I wouldn’t want to eat outside.

Lots of choice on the menu of this pure vegan restaurant - we had the moussaka and the soutzoukaki. Both were delicious, and great value. I hadn't had moussaka since I went vegan 4 years ago, and it was sooooo good! Really creamy topping and rich tomatoey lentil and potato filling. The soutzoukaki was great too. Lovely craft beer served by friendly people - highly recommended!

Excellent restaurant with very friendly staff. They recommended their award winning mushroom burger and we were not disappointed. Healthy salad too and much more healthy than most of the vegan options in Athens. Also managed to get a kombucha too! Highly recommended!

My friend and I are we’re traveling through Athens (both vegan) and stumbled across this restaurant. The staff was so welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable about dietary needs! The food was incredible with lots of options clearly marked. They even had vegan wine! We went back a second night to try more things on their menu!

Loved the food so much we visited three times in our week trip. Tried the linguine a la crème, moussaka, and soutzoukakia (veganized meatballs made from aubergine). Of these, the linguine was definitely my favourite - the best pasta I've ever had! The moussaka was also delicious; the soutzoukakia was nice but didn't stand out. My friend had the macrobiotic bowl and found it tasty but a bit on the small side and didn't have much tofu. Great value - think all dishes we tried were under 10 euros.

Absolutely loved my visit to mama Tierra. There was so much choice on the menu and the macro bowl I chose was delicious. The creamy pasta my friend had was even better though and next time I go back I’ll definitely be getting my own portion of it

I've never been to the restaurant, but only ordered 2x from them. Once a burger (last year, so I am not sure if they still have the same menu) which was average and than a quinoa salad which was good enough. The salad wasn't something extraordinary but a good portion and the sauce was also nice that came with it. Probably I should try more of their dishes to have a bigger view of their food. Also, I note that when you order take-away it always has reduced quality, in my experience. So maybe the burger and the salad would have tasted better if I ate it on the spot.

If you want to try mediterranean cuisine but vegan that is the right place. Not exactly what I was looking for since I would prefer a different approach. I tried the moussaka and soutsoukakia which were a little dry. The presentation of food was very simple and plain.

Gourmet dining on a late night - Edit
We'd just arrived to Athens and things were closing up...it was late. But, Mama Tierra was still open and SO welcoming. (The small storefront made us initially worried they'd be closed - was hard to see from the front it's actually a bigger restaurant.) Our server was so kind and sweet offering up great suggestions. I've never had moussaka in my life so decided it's time to try it. WOW! It was like an amazing shepherd's pie. My husband ordered the soutzoukakia. Also a new dish to me; just as delicious. This along with a gorgeous green salad and carafe of wine made for a most perfect way to start our trip in Greece. Highly recommend.

Pedimos um hambúrguer de cogumelos e um Curry da casa.
Ingredientes de qualidade e pratos são bem servidos.
Recomendamos o Mamma Tierra, sem dúvidas.

We had a great dinner, tried the black bean dip with nachos, the mousaka and the soutzoukakia (like eggplant meatballs with basmati rice). Everything was great and the portions are really big, even my boyfriend agrees- and he eats a lot!
