Great Food - Edit
A little gem in Athens. Great to have a specialty vegetarian place in this city. I had a wonderful meal, the mushroom burger was so nice! Very friendly staff and free Wifi. Also close to the Polytechnic University so if you go to Mama Tierra, definitely take a walk and see that too. Both very special places in Athens!

Delicious Greek street food! - Edit
We had the 'chicken' souvlaki, mushroom gyros and fries with vegan parmesan and bacon. Food was served quickly and everything was delicious! Very reasonable prices too, the souvlaki and gyros were €5 each.

The chocolate mousse with roasted almonds was also incredibly tasty.

Really vegan Greek food … cheese pies , mushroom pies and common breakfast items made Greek Style … both my wife and I have coffees , vegan omelets and a to go cheese pie … all for 19 euros

It was nice to visit a vegan restaurant in Athens that didn't only offer gyros, salads, sandwiches and burgers!
Read moreMama Tierra is special because it offers traditional Greek dishes made vegan, such as moussaka and soutzoukakia. Additionally, it has curries, pasta and spanish-inspired dishes.
I ordered the pita and tzatziki to start, and then the moussaka.
The tzatziki was so delicious that I was worried it was dairy-based instead of vegan! And you get a huge bowl of the stuff with pita for only €6.
The moussaka was a completely enormous portion for €9. I seriously could not believe the size of it and the photos don't do it justice. Was a bit thrown off by the use of black beans but it did work. And the bechamel was incredible.
There is more indoor seating than most vegan restaurants in Athens and the vibe is really peaceful and cosy. Additionally, the staff have great English and are really helpful.
I would advise any vegans in Athens to prioritize this restaurant !

We really enjoyed our meal at Mama Tierra’s and would recommend it to anyone traveling in Athens in search of some tasty , clean vegan food. We especially loved the sweet potato hummus! Our other bowls were good, our only recommendation would be to serve them with less sauce. Solid 4.5!

What a delicious treat Mama Tierra is! We enjoyed the Guacamole appetizer. It was so flavorful. We also ordered the Linguine a la creme (with vegan parm), and the Greek burger with the tzatziki and potatoes. Of course the baklava too. Highly recommend! The staff are very knowledgeable and vibes are great.

We arrived here because it was one of the few vegan restaurants open late afternoon. We weren't disappointed. We got hummus as an appetizer, the vegan moussaka and a bowl with marinated tofu. Everything was good!

The place is kind of old, and not very pleasant.
