Fantastic to see more vegan options. Three people last night, three different choices and all very tasty. Would definitely recommend that you visit. Good prices and good service.

The place is easy to find and has an English menu with clearly marked vegan dishes. We ordered Organic salad and Three Legumes salad with pita bread. Both were very tasty, healthy and well balanced. Portions were fair, both of us were full. Staff was very, very nice - very friendly and communicative. Great place to visit while in Athens, we will come back to try other stuff.

We went to this restaurant on our first day in Athens. We were starving because we didn't eat anything all day and it was already early evening so we ordered quite a few things. We tried the mushroom patties, the hummus, daily sweet potato soup and the vegetable curry. The only thing we really enjoyed was the hummus, it was delicious! However everything else wasn't that great, especially the patties. They tasted weird, were mushy and the green salad that was supposed to come with them was badly cooked spinach which tasted awful. The curry was ok but it didn't taste anything like a proper curry. I am a curry lover but to me that was just a mix of frozen vegetables steamed with some curry powder, salt and oil. The soup was a bit tasteless and weird, we ate it but didn't enjoy it much.
Overall we were not satisfied with the food. The prices are reasonable for Athens.

So far I have only been to Mama Tierra once and had their falafel, which was delicious.

The staff was friendly and prices reasonable.

I will definitely be going there again and you should, too.

The place was a little smelly and not the cleanest when I got there, though not enough so to ruin my meal.

Mama Tierra offers many vegan options, stuff is friendly, food is delicious. A healthy food oasis if you are a vegetarian or vegan visiting downtown Athens.

We had the burgers which were tasty and home made. Nicely presented with fresh side dishes. The dessert menu has 2 items, only one of them vegan, and that's alcohol cooked fruit, with no vegan cream/ice-cream even. If only they could do vegan Greek pastries like you get at the Bamboo vegan store...

The food was very OK. Restaurant looks nice inside nice details. Good vegan options. Nice personal. I heard the cook explaining a recipe to other guests.

Really delicious food for a really good price! Main dishes start at 3€ and even the most expensive ones are well below 10€. The service is great too. Came back for a second time because it was so good. They serve homemade Kombucha and organic wine as well.

If you are ever in Athens then I would highly recommend to try the food at mama tierra. the price is reasonable and the food taste amazing. best vegan restaurant around Exarcheia Athens.

Mama Tierra is an oasis in the centre of Athens.The staff is really friendly, the food is amazing with many vegan and gluten free options and it's very cheap. It is definitely my first choice when I visit Athens.

Restaurant with friendly atmosphere and many vegan options at a good price. The hummus was very tasty, the quinoa salad very refreshing and tasty and the paella too. Highly recommended.

A conveniently located vegetarian restaurant with plenty vegan options. Food was tasty and nicely cooked. My favorites were the Dahl soup and the vegan burger.

The restaurant was recommended by a friend of mine living in Athens. I was really happy to find such a nice place and delicious food! The place is clean, the personal is very friendly, the food is fresh and tastes great. When i am back in Athens i am sure coming back to this place :-)

As an Athenian, I appreciate so much this restaurant because it is the only in the center with vegan options in reasonable prices.

The area inside is really an oasis in the middle of the center that at this specific point is not beautiful and the employees are kind ans smiley.

Went to Mama Tierra today for lunch before sightseeing and it was delicious! We had grilled vegetables and Khao phat pak (vegan option), both dishes were very yummy. Portions were generous, staff was very friendly, atmosphere was lovely. Will definitely try to come back within the next couple of days. :)

It was the first place I tried after arriving to Athens and it was such a great start to get delicious and nourishing food into my body so I could explore the city with lots of energy! I tried quinoa salad with lime dressing and I absolutely loved it! My bf took falafel plate and it was amazing too. We tried also their homemade ginger kombucha - delicious. Water is included for free, like everywhere. We paid 20€ for two people. Good value for money. I'd definitely come back!

Great place just a couple blocks off 28th street. The foodb is amazing. Good portion sizes for the price. I wish I had some place like this where I work.

My husband (non vegetarian) and I (vegan) went yesterday here after a very long day. Our server was very kind and friendly.
We had two different salads, dalh soup, another dish (I don't remeber the name!)and something to drink. All was tasty. There is a good amount of options and I liked that they had variety of dishes. It's a pleasure to find a restaurant like this when you're in holidays, in Athens

Great place hust around the corner from my hotel with friendly staff and a pretty extensive menu. Thanks for the tip that it closes at 21:00. Rushed over for a quick soup and some side dishes which were served in 5 minutes. Will def go back to taste more!

I thoroughly recommend Mama Tierra for the food, the hospitality and the simple but beautiful decor.

Although we arrived just as they were closing (be aware they close at 9pm not 10pm as stated incorrectly on the Happy Cow info) the staff offered to stay open to cook for us, which was amazingly kind.

We both had mushroom burgers which were really filling & tasted great. In addition we sampled a veggie curry the chef had made & invited us to try, which was also delicious!

Great and cheap vegan/vegetarian food in the city centre.Polite stuff. Accept credit cards. Not many seats available though.

The setting isn't quite as green and sunny as I would usually prefer, but the food and service is brilliant:) a great range of vegan options!

I ate here two or three times and was very satisfied every time. The curry, paella and guacamole were delicious, same as the burguer.

Mamma Tierra was a short walk from my Hostel and I'm glad I visited. Their menu contains a range of dishes to tease your tastebuds, with many Vegan and Gluten-free options available and clearly marked.

The staff were friendly and gave me lots of time to decide (which wasn't easy!). I ordered Vegetable burgers which were arrived quickly and tasted amazing.

It's a lovely environment to eat in with clean minimalist decor and some potted plants. I'll definitely be returning for one of their Power Smoothies !

We called for a take out at the last moment before closing, that was no problem for them, making sure all we got was vegan was nor problem either. The price is honest and the food is good as well. the staff is very friendly, Kind regards to them, from the Netherlands

We tried Mama Tierra because it was close and we saw it had vegan options. It was the best decision - the food was amazing (mushroom burger for the vegetarian and korma for the vegan). After two weeks in Greece when we've eaten really well - we love Greek food - this was still definitely the best. There is a strong likelihood we will be back there again tomorrow night! Also, the staff were friendly and helpful and the prices are great value (tbh, hate to say it, too cheap if anything!)

If you're a vegetarian and living in or visiting Athens don't miss a meal at this great new addition to the Athens vegetarian scene. Great food, lovely atmosphere, friendly service. Try the guacamole it's divine and don't miss one of the curries.

This place is amazing for vegans. Vegan items are clearly tapped on the menu card and stuff also will help you out if you are vegan. The food is brilliant. Really tasty, fresh and healthy. Overall bright and clean place.

I used to rely on friends to find good restaurants via Happy Cow - but after visiting Mama Tierra a few weeks ago when I was in Athens I just had to get it myself to make this review.

If you are in Athens - you NEED to go here. The food is nothing but amazing and the staff is super friendly. They served the best hommous I've ever eaten and they offered to make the vegetarian dishes vegan just for us, great service!

Make sure to eat your heart out when you're hear, both starter and main course - try the vegan shake as well, so good! The mushroom ragu is a must as well.

And - the prices are really good. :)

We would like to highlight this vegetarian restaurant in particular. The mushroom burgers were delicious and the interior and service were very good too. Prices clearly cheap. Mushroom burger menu was around 6 Euro.
Great choice and we look forward to trying the other items on the menu like hummus and paella!

This was my favorite discovery in Athens. The owner is super nice, has an impressive resume and makes amazing food. The paella was able to be made vegan and was perfect. The menu accommodates all palates and dietary restrictions, there are Greek staples as well as dishes from other parts of the world. Don't go to Athens and miss stopping here for a meal.

A little gem in Athens. Great to have a specialty vegetarian place in this city. I had a wonderful meal, the mushroom burger was so nice! Very friendly staff and free Wifi. Also close to the Polytechnic University so if you go to Mama Tierra, definitely take a walk and see that too. Both very special places in Athens!

First vegan/vegetarian restaurant we found by happy cow. Easy and clearly marked menu what what vegan. Had the hummus and guacamole for starters and quinoa mushroom ragu and vegan korma. Everything was so nice and tasted so good. The waiter was service minded and the place was fresh and spaced. One big plus for open kitchen :D loved to smell everything from there! We are back there now

After being traveling islands of Greece, where it's almost impossible to find vegan alternatives, (can't survive on salad only), I've been eating too much meat =(.
So when we came to Athens we found this wonderful place. The food tastes amazing and the price is great. I recommend this place alot!

After being here we wanted to go back, but forgot to check opening hours both times so was closed, so I hope that more people visiting this place so it can grow!

Great little spot near Parliament / Athens University. Kind of has a diner vibe/decor. Menus available in English and greek. I ordered the coconut curry and it was delicious.
Staff is friendly and offers recommendations. The place was not very busy but I was there at an off time.

Fairly recently opened vegan friendly restaurant. Everyone was so friendly and spoke good English so could explain what ingredients each dish contained. Food very tasty (Chef from India!). Very clean and attractive and we wish this restaurant great success.

The food at mama tierra is great, also a lot of vegan options! Friendly and helpfull staff and a delicious local beer.. A must to eat there..

I went to Mama Tierra on a weekday, just a few weeks after the opening. I really liked the food (burger and salad were delicious!) And since it was not too busy, I was able to chitchat with the chef, a co-owner of the restaurant. I was happy to see his enthusiasm to work on his menu and soon offer, raw and more vegan options. I think this place will become a staple in this area. Well, that is what I wish for them.
