Delicious food. Friendly staff. Worth the trip.

The food was amazing. It was all so tasty, I even ate the side of leafy greens that I don't usually touch 😆 But the dressing on it was so good I ate it all. My meat eating friend was so impressed by it. 😃

YUM YUM YUM

Delicious selection of sandwiches, toasties, salads, pies/ sausage rolls and sweet treats. I’m pretty sure Ive tried everything and my favourite is the shroom toastie ( think juicy mushrooms, melted cheese and pesto)and rainbow wrap. ( a delicious nod to everyone’s favourite salad sandwich). My chai is made to perfection and coffee is always great.

Long drive for a sandwich

Mama said is essentially a sandwich and wrap eatery and after eating here twice, I can't find a compelling reason to return in the near future, as the current menu is just not very exciting. On the positive side, if you are after coffee and cake, there's a lot to choose from (almost all gluten free :/)

Pros: Fully vegan, Quick service

New Vegan Café in Red Hill – Great Toasties & Treats

Mama Said Café is a new vegan café on the Mornington Peninsula with a warm, homely vibe and friendly staff.

The menu is simple but delicious - think toasties, croissants, and sandwiches. Standout items like the schnitzel roll and cheese & tomato croissant were a hit. They also have a cabinet full of treats (brownies, lemon tart, cookies), which goes perfectly with a coffee.

They also stock vegan cheeses, snacks, and essentials, so you can grab some vegan essentials while you’re there. Plenty of parking and a nature walk nearby make it a great stop on a Red Hill day trip.

Pros: 100% vegan, simple, but delicious menu, Delicious vegan treats

Cons: smaller menu than other vegan cafes
