Yummy Curry Laksa

Their vegan Gyoza Bowl was ok (I’ve tried plenty of vegan gyozas in my life). It didn’t taste bad, but they also didn’t make me go wow. Their vegan curry laksa was really good though. I’ve tried laksa when I was in Singapore and Malaysia, but this one was the best one that I’ve had so far. You also have the option to choose the level of spiciness, and I chose the highest one. It was very creamy, and each of the toppings was so good- the mushrooms, the fried tofu, the taste of mint with the coconut- I just loved it.

Pros: Curry Laksa

Cons: not a comoletely vegan restaurant

Colorful gyozas, mild flavours

Cozy place with friendly and helpful staff. 3 out of 4 veggie gyozas are actually vegan (not the potato & cheese one). I have had the vegan bowl which makes for a very nice, homemade meal with a mild flavour (3 cabbage gyozas, 3 mushroom gyozas, rice, algae salad, and a generous side salad with a sweet chilli sauce).

Rainbow Gyoza and Malaysian Noodles: A Mixed Experience

The successor to the burnt-down Léger restaurant is run by a lady from Malaysia. The interior has a clean and modern aesthetic, though it might not be the coziest setting for a relaxed evening. Gyoza, side dishes, and noodle dishes are on the menu. The rainbow gyoza look very pretty, but unfortunately, only 4 of the 10 varieties are labeled as vegan, and only 3 are actually vegan. The one with potato is only vegetarian, as it contains cheese.

I ordered the curry laksa noodle dish, which was quite spicy. If you take it “dry” without soup—as I did—the noodles tend to stick together, and it’s probably much better with soup. The king oyster mushrooms, which I’m usually a big fan of, were not fried and tasted bland. All in all, it wasn’t a great pleasure for me. Perhaps it’s more recommendable to try a set of 6 vegan gyoza and a side dish instead.

The owner is super nice, happy to explain the dishes, and the food is homemade.
