Taste buds sensation - Edit
We visited them for the first time in September 2024 and wondered why we hadn't known about them. The food was excellent, high quality, and so reasonably priced. We arrived at buffet time. There were 6 or 7 choices, and everything was cooked perfectly. The chef certainly knows how to use spices seasonings and marinades

Excellent - Edit
As one of the few fully vegan places in Hastings, we went here for dinner. The restaurant was quiet, though there were several Just Eats riders so perhaps it's more popular for delivery rather than eat-in.

Good 100% vegan food - Edit
Hastings and St Leonards only supports one or two vegan cafés and restaurants, though many more of the proprietors are vegan or vegetarian.

Feast of flavours - Edit
Fabulous lunch buffet for £8 with 5 or 6 delicious dishes, such a variety of flavours and textures. Also a very relaxing place to eat, a chilled vibe. If you are vegan then this really is the only place to eat in Hastings.

Something a bit different and unexpected. In a good way! - Edit
We had the lunch buffet, which featured three main dishes ('pork' with creamy mushrooms, 'beef' in a tomato-y sauce, and sweet 'n' sour fried tofu), glass noodle salad and rice. All were very tasty. We've visited before and had the a la carte, and always been really impressed. It's super-friendly as well. The buffet changes daily, and the a la carte menu every three months, so it's worth going often. Highly recommended.

Best vegan food in Hastings!!!! - Edit
We stumbled across this place by accident and I honestly cannot tell you how happy I am that we did!
Read moreThey were trialling a new buffet lunch option, £6.50 and you can pile your plate as high as you like with everything they have on offer that day.
The food was absolutely delicious, everything we tried was just perfect!! They had a tofu option, a vegetable option and a vegan beef option so there really is something for everybody. I couldn't choose which one was my favourite but we left that place with full bellies and massive smiles on our faces.
The owner was super friendly and so nice to chat to!
They said that they also still do the al la carte menu in the evenings so I can't wait to get back there and try that too!!
I highly recommend Mama Geny's, we were talking about how good the food was for the whole rest of the day!
Pros: Everything we tried was absolutely delicious! , Really friendly owner, So reasonably priced!

Best vegan food in Hastings?! - Edit
Fantastic vegan Filipino food! We have been here several times and had lots of different things we'd never tried before, all delicious vegan versions of traditional Filipino dishes. Menu changes regularly and the menu itself is really helpful and clear, with descriptions of the dishes and whether they are spicy etc. Generous portions. Lots of dishes with seitan, tofu and fresh vegetables. Fantastic side dishes (garlic rice and lumpia / spring rolls particularly recommended), desserts and drinks. The chef and her family are lovely. Although not on a busy street it's very central and easy to find - a couple of minutes from the station, town and beach. As others have said, we can imagine non-vegans would love it too. We're planning to bring all our visitors!

Friendly vegan cafe - Edit
Tasty vegan food created by the wonderful and inspired Mama Geny! Lots of gluten free options. The spicy mushroom and tofu dish I tried was zinging with beautiful flavours. My husband had the sweet and sour vegan-beefy dish with garlic fried rice, which was amazing. We highly recommend this lovely cafe.
