Tasty food, friendly staff

Small independent place near the Miniatures Museum. Menu depends on the day. The highlight may have been the Cesar salad!

Overpriced

Ordered three sandwiches, a salad and two lemonades. Spent $77 (incl tip) which is too much for Tofurkey meats and storebought bread. This used to be a vegan bakery with homemade bread and seitan, and worth the extra expense.

Overall, the food tasted good, and the service was excellent. Would love to come back when prices are more in line with reality.

Pros: Vegan, Very friendly and attentive staff, Food tasted good

Cons: At least twice the price it should be, Slow food prep despite not being busy, Untidy

Nice Spot

Got lunch here and enjoyed the relaxed deli vibe. Expensive though.

It could become gain a star by elevating the food to become more than what you could make at home.

Worth visiting if you’re nearby.

Greasy

I had a vegan cheese-steak which was too greasy for my liking. Please note that this was about 9 months ago, so things may have changed. The staff were nice and there were several patrons who seemed happy with their choices. But it's not quite what I wanted.

Quick & Tasty

Stopped in for a quick bite. Ordered the Cesar Salad and a Caprese Panini. Both were delicious. Chill atmosphere. I liked that they specialize in a small daily menu and focus on doing a few things a day very well.

Delicious Vegan Eatery

They have an every changing and always delicious menu. Some of my favorites are the Poke Bowl, the McVegan Burger, and their great Ceaser Salad. And we always have to try their desserts.

They also have weekly meal prep, which is great...especially for the holidays.

Even if you don't live in the Lakewood area, it's worth checking out.

Love all the different options!

I don’t come here as often as I used to since I moved out of Denver, but I’ve always enjoy all the different options they have! I love their meal prep options. I wish more places would offer vegan meal prep! I recommend stopping in for a meal. The staff is super friendly, and they sell beautiful plants and artwork from locals.

Pros: 100% vegan, Women owned, LGBTQ+ owned

Cons: Expensive

Super good!

Friendly staff and delicious food! I had a caprese panini sandwich and my hubby had stuffed shells with a side salad. All really good! The prices are comparable to other restaurants right now. I’d recommend this place!

Pros: Delicious vegan cheese, Friendly staff

Not worth the price

I genuinely hate leaving poor reviews but I do not understand how they can justify their high prices. I paid $20 for a bowl of pasta that was literally just store bought pasta noodles, a handful of spinach, some tomatoes, olive oil and a tiny bit of vegan feta on the top. That is not worth twenty bucks and was so bland (and the portions aren’t massive). Perhaps it was an off day but I won’t ever return to find out.

I love supporting vegan restaurants, especially women, LGBTQ owned, but I want the food to be good and worth the price. If the high prices are to pay the workers a living wage, I am on board, but they still ask for a -30 tip for counter service so…? I don’t know, maybe the price is with it to others but not to me.

Pros: Women owned

Cons: Expensive, Bland food

Yummy food!

I’m visiting from Colorado Springs which is (nearly) a vegan desert. This place is expensive but the food was yummy and satisfied my itch for a good meal. Will definitely return if I’m in the area!

A tasty evolution

The folks who’ve taken over the old Daily Bread space are stepping up with a a modest selection of comfort food options, plus a variety of special order items for pickup or delivery. It’s good to have another vegan option when in the western ‘burbs. Hopefully the menu will expand in time.

Service was cheerful and friendly. Both indoor and outdoor seating. Free parking outside.

Remarkable food

Menu changes daily and each is mostly handmade from scratch. I've tried numerous meals but my favorite remains the reuben. Sadly they've raised their prices because of supply and demand and because of inflation. They're struggling, but I still go there because I love supporting small LGBTQ businesses.

Pros: good reliable and tasty food

Cons: expensive

Delish but EXPENSIVE

We went to get a quick bite for lunch. The food was great but the price was outrageous. We got the meatball sub and the Buffalo chicken wrap. Both tasted AMAZING, best meatball sub I’ve ever had!! That being said, I most likely won’t go back due to the small portions and huge price tag.

Not worth it

I hate to do it, but this place isn't it. The food was okay, but there wasn't really any flavor to it. I paid $42 after tax and tip for a reuben sandwich, fries, ranch and 3 very sad tacos. The Reuben was good, but not worth the $15.99 it's not worth more than $7. They should be embarrassed about the tacos, for $11.25 I would expect more. They were filled with a tiny amount of sauteed mushrooms , pickled onions and unflavored unseasoned tofu and 3 cold store bought corn tortillas. The fries were a knockout perfectly crisp and delicious, once again way over priced. The menu board said $6.50 and they rang up as $7.25.
I tipped $5 and had to walk up to get my own food and clear my own table, I would not recommend leaving a tip here.
I'm sorry make it vegan, I will likely not return.

Tasty food, nice to have 100% vegan options

Make It Vegan is hidden in a nondescript little strip mall, but they have a great sign on Kipling pointing to their location. Parking was easier on 8th, there's only two spots off Kipling and if someone is trying to back out of that lot, it would be a challenge to both let them get out and be able to enter.

Walking in the menu is written on a blackboard, it's easy to read. The good is prepared right behind the counter. Shortly after I entered, as I was still trying to decide, I was asked for my order. I didn't yet know what I wanted, it wasn't a "let me know when you're ready" it was a "what will you have". After explaining I needed a moment, they stepped away to do what they were doing, and when they returned I ordered the Chicken Shawarma. Asked for water, was ignored. Upon paying the screen asks if I want to give a 20% or 30% tip. For counter service I get confused about tip culture, I'm not understanding what I'm paying for or why the establishment doesn't pay their workers a living wage. I entered a $1.99 tip to round my order to $20, asked for water again and was again ignored.

The food arrived at the counter shortly and the person preparing the food was able to get me some water. The food itself was delicious. I self-bussed.

I'm not sure if I would return. The food was great, the "please give us a 30% tip even though we ignore a request for water and it's counter service with self-bussing" still bothers me.

Pros: Everything is vegan!, Tasty food, Parking was easy once I discovered parking on 8th

Cons: I feel I'm missing why they wanted a 30% tip, Asked for water 3x before I was able to get some

In Denver area for a quick getaway and stopped in here for late lunch and early dinner. We ordered Caesar salads, chili mac, nachos, zucchini bread, and bought some cheese.
It was all delicious! Everyone who was working was nice and helpful with questions.

pretty good...

glad to have another veg spot, especially in a part of town that could use one. good flavors. portions could be more substantial. friendly enough staff. seemed to be out of several items: no kombucha today, no gf pita, no avocado. seems like the restaurant is still trying to sort things out -or not. it has a home cooked feel. dishes feel like something that one could make at home.

if this is five stars, as so many other reviewers feel it is, not sure how they would rate the top veg restaurants in denver.

Pros: location, outdoor seating, friendly staff

Cons: lacked a few items that normally stock

Fantastic

Visited here a few weeks ago and had a vegan shawarma that was absolutely amazing, possibly one of the best vegan meals I’ve had. I will definitely be coming back to this location
