Generous Portions and Flavorful Dishes

We had two of the Lentil Sambusa for appetizers. My partner ordered Ye-Atklit (mild) and for myself, I ordered the Dinich Wot (spicy).

It was all delicious! My partner actually thought that her ate-Atklit was spicy, and I did not think mine was much, so it’s possible they may have swapped those. So double check if you’re in a mixed spicy group.

Otherwise the only problem was we ordered too much! These dishes are large enough for two people to share, so also beware of ordering too much and walking out stuffed.

Pros: Very reasonable price , Large portions , Nice restaurant vibe

So delicious!

I was on a day trip with a friend and she wanted me to eat here, which is her favorite restaurant. It was my first time eating Ethiopian food. I loved it! I'm not sure what we ate, because she ordered, but it was so good!?

Pros: Quick service, Delicious food

Bomb Ethiopian Food

I got the vegetarian combo, which is vegan. I like doing this because it allows me to discover which dishes I like the most. It served its purpose. At most Ethiopian restaurants, I gravitate towards spicy Misir Wot, Tikkil Gomen, Fasolia, and Gomen. Major mixes Ethiopian and Eritrean so the spellings differ.

At Major I’ve discovered that I like their mild Misir Wot, Quosta (spinach), and Tikil Gomen best. They have a Dinich Wot, which I tried in mild and spicy versions. I’m a spicy fan but the mild was more flavorful.

They were out of the cabbage sambussas every time I went, so I got the lentil sambussas. They’re delicious! Served with a spicy jalapeño garlic sauce that I need in a 16oz bottle. So yummy!

Flavorful and filling

Love this place! The food is so well spiced and flavorful. The lentil sambusas were my favorite. The vegetarian platter for one had so much food! Owner was very nice and welcoming.

Pros: No dairy used in restaurant, Vegetarian menu is vegan

Cons: Styrofoam takeout containers

Amazing food

This is one of my favorite restaurants. I love Ethiopian food, and this is a great place to get it. If I could give them, 5 star I would, but as it is not a fully vegan restaurant I can’t. Also make sure you get the coffee ceremony it is a beautiful introduction to their culture and a fun way to finish the meal. My wife and I always get the vegetarian combo, and they don’t appear to use any dairy in their food, so it is automatically vegan. I alway ask for additional salad as it is alway delicious. #Veganuary

Pros: Coffee ceremony , The staff is always polite and informative

Cons: Not enough of the yummy salad ask for more, It is a hole in the wall, not actually a con.

Delicious

Great and flavorful food, though smallest portions of the three Ethiopian restaurants in the circle. Still, delicious and filling!

Great stop.

Right off the highway for convenience, and also a new experience for me. I’ve never gotten to try Ethiopian food but always wanted to, and this was amazing.

We got the vegetarian combo for 2 as recommended by previous reviewers, it was an awesome way to sample several things at once.

The food was filling, we couldn’t even finish it all. Highly recommend for those looking for something different and full of flavor.

Tasty, exotic and unusual

This is the perfect place to commune with people you know and eat with your fingers out of a common plate. They supply warm towels to wash your hands. Get the vegetable combo. Very satisfying. Take home any leftovers; there should be plenty.

Definitely get the combo

As the description says the vegetarian combo is all vegan. Portions were small and I was concerned at first. By the end I was full. Then the server came out and asked which one I wanted more of. Pretty tasty. Check it out. Beware out of towners... this is in a sketchy area. Maybe come during the day.
