Texas based chain of movie theaters. Serves food during the movie (ticket purchase required) and/or in the lobby at the "Video Vortex" bar (no ticket purchase required). Not all-veg but offers vegan menu options, including vegan pizza, a couple of quinoa bowls, avocado toast, and cauliflower wings with vegan ranch. Staff will omit or add ingredients upon request. Suggested to show up 30 minutes prior to movie time to make your order. Previously named Alamo Drafthouse Cinema. Open Mon-Sun 11:00am-11:00pm.

Gone downhill.

Ranch used to be great, now it’s gross.
Portions keep getting smaller.
Prices keep going up.

Worst

I used to attend this location often when it was the Alamo and I loved it then. Especially when they had vegan options on the menu, let alone food and drinks to offer at all for during ur movie. Worst experience today. (Gilbert location) The movie was great, but the service was horrible.
The server greeted us early, hence we arrived really early to get food and talk prior to the showing. We Received our drinks and the server NEVER returned. We Placed the paper up meaning we were ordering! (That’s their procedure to alert the servers quietly during a showing). The Server came in the room multiple times to check on others and never came back for us, despite the paper being displayed. I had to get another server to take our order. One food item came during the movie, 20 minutes later the other item had never came. I had to go find another server to tell them. Another ten minutes pass and here comes the second item. Still never checked on, no refills of drinks, just a dropped off check at the end.

To top it off, the women’s restroom’s trash cans were full! This is the beginning of the day, if not the first or second movie of the day at noon, so why r the trash cans completely full and overflowing? Also there was no soap in the automatic dispenser, so to help out with that there were two empty individual store bought soap dispensers. Super helpful.

Pros: One vegan option, Vegan cauliflower r tasty, Food and drinks during ur movie.

Cons: Not a variety of vegan options , Meat and dairy served, Service sucked

Best theatre

Alamo is the best movie theatre around. It’s a clean theatre with reclining seats and amazing vegan food options, what more could you want? They also have a good selection of local rotating beers.
