Wonderful Vegetarian Cafe

First time here but am impressed by the quality and taste of the food. Very affordable price too. Was recommended the double roast rice set and it didn't disappoint. The char siew has the right burnt taste and good texture. But I was wowed by the thunder tea rice. Very rich and distinct taste. Best thunder rice I have ever eaten. The suckling pig was good too, better than what I had in bigger restaurant like Miao Yi. Great place to come if u are in Geylang area.

Affordable Vegan Food in Singapore

The cafe is within the building of the Cheng Beng Buddhist Society . I initially thought I needed to take off my shoes coz everyone going in the building was taking them off but actually you don't need to do so at the cafe.

Most of the menu is in Chinese so we had to ask someone who could speak English to translate. Vegan options aren't marked, so you need to ask. It's a vegetarian menu. The menu changes daily as well.

Flavoursome food. It got very crowded when we left so do go early if you want a table for lunch.

Pros: Friendly staff, Affordable food

Cons: Vegan options not clearly marked

Great eatery

Located below a Chinese Temple. Sometimes they have special dishes. The people that are clearing the tables are volunteers, so please spare a thought for them and help clear your meals after you’re done.

Pros: Clean and cozy environment.

Cons: Sundays are their busiest at around 12-1PM

Rare find - ShuangLiao JiFan (Vegetarian Chicken Rice)

A surprise. Didn't know the food here is so delish. Rare find - ShuangLiao JiFan ($5), flavorful vegetarian chicken rice with special vegetarian Char Siew. Corn in the clear soup. This place is a hidden find. Normally off on Tue.

Nice little cafeteria

This is a very cheap little restaurant. I cams looking for a cafe but it's more like cafeteria seating. They have good pau and I nice selection of drinks. I'll have to come back and give the laksa a go.

Pros: Cheap

Cons: Not the best atmosphere.
