I wanted to love it - Edit

Went in with high hopes due to the reviews. But for some reason my experience was different than most other reviews.

On the positive note, the portions were reasonable. Granted, it isn't American sized where they serve you twice the amount of food you should be eating, but I am full off one entree of pumpkin spaghetti.

The presentation wasn't anything spectacular, yet was pleasing to the eye. I arrived at 1 pm and was the only customer ordering. Everyone else had their food. I was expecting a 30 to 40 minute wait due to reading the other reviews, but was pleasantly surprised by my food arriving in under 10 minutes.
. I had to admit, I was again surprised by the pumpkin noodles. They looked like regular spaghetti noodles and had the color like it had about a 30% whole wheat content. The texture was closer to gluten free noodles, yet they seem to have more structure holding it together. I was happy with them especially since I'm on a diet.

Alas, my good news ends here. The taste of the food was either unpleasant to grotesque. The noodles were tasteless as could be expected, yet the sauce was unpleasant. I do suspect some white sugar in it as my body craved to eat every morsel of the sauce, even though my tongue and nose were protesting everytime I lick the bowl clean.

For the sake of adventure, I tried the fern greens. Thank goodness I wasn't on a business meeting or with a foreign dignitary as I didn't have a napkin and my tongue instantly rejected them. Slightly chewed, they came roaring out of my mouth. I love most odd tastes in life, but this will never become even an acquired taste of mine. (And I'm the guy that will inhale a ripe durian because it smells so lovely to me)

The pineapple juice was watered down and sugar was added. Almost uncontrollably I gulped it down due to the white sugar added.

I wasn't happy with the food experience. I sit here with a nasty aftertaste in my mouth while being soothed by the most wonderful sounds of a distant waterfall and an acoustic guitar.

I wanted to love this place, but due to my experiences with the food I just can't recommend it.

Pros: Buddha statues, Slogans around the resto, Waterfall and music was serene

Cons: Taste of food, Juice is watered down with sugar

So cute with great food... - Edit

What a fantastic restaurant. The staff are all super nice and menu is on an ipad. Two of the best items were the mushroom sate and balinese satay - so yummy. We also had the fruit spring rolls because of a previous review here - they were surprisingly awesome. The atmosphere is very pleasant with a lovely water feature. Overall a must if you can get here.

Pros: lots of vegan food, great staff, pleasant atmosphere

Yummy food and amazing staff :) - Edit

Found this little gem on happy cow and am so glad I did! For less than $25AU my boyfriend and i managed to nearly fit in 3 drinks, 3 entrees, 3 mains and they even gave us 2 free desserts (yes we vegans eat a lot).
I recommend the pumpkin noodles and oriental fried rice. As a side note, the portions are a tad on the small side so best to grab a drink/entree as well. (Think like Tapas and share a few to make the most out of your meal!)
The orange juice was also freshly squeezed and is the best I've had in Bali so far.
Staff were lovely and gave us boardgames to entertain us whilst we waited. Thank you Mai3 Cafegan and I wish I was here another night to try some more dishes!

Pros: Cheap, Delicious, Lovely Staff

Cons: Christmas music haha

Fresh, cheap and Welcoming - Edit

Lovely little place wear you can sit on the floor with floor tables if you like or high tables with chairs. Staff were lovely and very friendly and helpful. We had the lunch menu which was presented on an iPad to select. The food was fresh and tasty, we ordered two entrees, two mains, water and a side all for $18 AUD. highly recommend

Pros: Friendly Staff, All Vegan, Cheap

Gracious service, delicious fare - Edit

My meal here was absolutely delicious. I had great, attentive service from Tio. I started with the fruit spring rolls, which I'd never heard of before coming here, so was intrigued to try. The jackfruit/banana/dragonfruit mixture was lightly fried in the batter. It was sweet and crunchy, and not greasy at all. Then I had pumpkin noodles. The noodles were made from potatoes, and the pureed pumpkin sauce coated them. The doughy taste of the noodles contrasted nicely with the pumpkin sauce. The latter had just a hint of sweetness, not the cloying sweetness pumpkin sauces often have. Tio then kindly brought me a new menu item, a mushroom burger with a soy-based cheese sauce on top. It was not too meaty testing, which to me is a very good thing. The bread was light and fluffy, and the cheese sauce was creamy and not too heavy. I sat on the floor at a small table, with the soothing sound of a waterfall in the background and a gardenia essential oil diffuser near me. The place was easy to find, and not far from the airport. I'll definitely be coming back here!

Pros: Great service, Delicious, inventive food , Serene atmosphere

Delicious - Edit

I had the pumpkin noodles and fruit spring rolls, both were delicious :) Everything is vegan here and the noodles were homemade from squash and pumpkin, no added colouring the lovely waitress told me. It was my first time having fruit spring rolls, they were filled with dragonfruit, banana, and jackfruit. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. The noodle dish was a bit small though, I would order more food next time.

Pros: Everything is Vegan!!

Cons: Smaller portions
