Many options

Many options, I wish it was all vegetarian and vegan but it's also understandable. it's anyway good to see vegan options in Tallinn. I like the new location as well.

So Many Choices!

I walked quite a ways to get out to this location (in the pouring rain) but it was worth it. Really didn't expect it to be so large and to find that it even existed in this area (right next to an auto shop or something!).

Lots of good choices (not all veggie) for while you're staying in Tallinn. I bought vegan cheese (Cheezly brand, Edam style) which was very good-- didn't expect to be making grilled cheese sandwiches on the trip! Also bought vegan quiche which was sooo good. They sell a lot of bulk goods, vegan ice cream, desserts, all sorts of frozen items, organic produce, and I even saw that they were selling the Estonian version of Forks Over Knives near the entrance! They have a restaurant thing going on upstairs at this same location (under a different listing here on HappyCow).

Tallinn is a surprisingly good vegan city! Maybe not a huge amount of restaurants, etc but the ones they have are great.

Pros: Surprisingly Large Amount of Choices, Organic Food, Quiche!!

Cons: Out of City Centre a bit

Large store, not all vegetarian

Around corner on Mustamäe tee and set back from the street. Inside the entrance are natural fibre clothing and body care products. Then through to the grocery store, which offers organic produce, some freezer items (sells meat), canned goods, lots of chocolate and snack bars (some Estonian-made). Glass case at cashier had a vegan quiche for takeaway, brownies, etc. Good selection in the store. I suggest you do a grocery run here on arrival in Tallinn before going to a regular supermarket. Bus 16 gets you back to the centre of town for €1,60. Bus stop is around the corner and a block or so down Endla.

Pros: spacious store

Cons: sells meat, outside city centre

out of the city but worth the trip

This café is only open during the day time but is a really nice vegan buffet and well worth the trip from the city centre. Its really easy to get to just take trolley bus 6 and get off at the hippodrome stop. There is a really nice choice of salads and hot dishes and although we didn't try them as we were too full the deserts looked very tempting too

Organic vegetables and all other products easily!

Under one roof, you can find every organic, eco-friendly and vegan product you possibly would wish for and require. Whenever I need a household product or toothpaste, this is the place where I come. I especially love the selection of fresh organic vegetables and fruits, which is always wide and offers also local goods. Moreover, the store sells all the goods that you have probably seen in any other organic store in Europe, with additional local brands as well. You can take yourself nuts, dried fruits, seeds, beans, sugar etc. from containers and weigh them at the counter. The price with some products (e.g. raw bars) is a bit above the average, but in general everything is moderately priced. At the counter you'll find fresh and organic pastries and other goods, available also for take away. I always do my weekly shoppings here, I even have the client card, which offers some discount!

Pros: Big and wide, A great variety of everything, Good quality

Cons: Location

Loved this place

I was absolutely amazed with this place!!! A veggie paradise!! Starting with the girls working there, so so nice and friendly!! Food was delicious!!! The daily meal and juice were not expensive at all. And they have an organic shop which sells raw cookies, kale chips, quiches and other food that you can take away! Desert was awesome! I mean if you go to Tallinn you must check this place out!! Really worth it!!!

Pros: Amazing food, Organic shop and lots of raw options, The nicest environment

Cons: No wifi

Great raw vegan food in a storage hall

Mahemarket Cafe is not really a restaurant, but rather a cafeteria for the customers of the Mahemarket organic supermarket. This is why it is closed in the evening. A pity, because the food is really wonderful!

The place is located outside of the city center in a rather industrial area. The building looks like an office building with a large storage hall attached. From the outside it is hard to guess that this is such a great place with a nice, friendly atmosphere.

There is a little restaurant part on the ground floor and a larger section on the upper level of the hall, overlooking the open space of the large supermarket. The interior is spacious, simple and modern, with chairs and tables made of bright wood. There is a little children's corner with toys and books.

Most of the food is raw and vegan. The menu is quite limited and at the end of the week they can run out of stock, so it makes sense to check up front what is available. When I arrived it seemed at first that there were only soup and several sorts of cake left because someone had just bought all the vegan quiche - the main dish of the day. But then the very friendly and helpful staff saw that they overlooked some more quiche in the kitchen and I could have it, along with salad, the raw vegan soup and ditto blueberry-apple cake. Everything was just yummy!

Pros: delicious + healthy food, friendly staff, mostly vegan

Cons: location, a bit pricey, closed in the evening
