Apparantly does not do vegan :( - Edit
Visited this restaurant last week based on the listing here and the menu containing several vegetarian items that should quite easily be made vegan. Sadly the staff informed me that it would not be possible for vegetarian dishes to be made vegan when enquiering about not using butter or ghee and I was sent on my way. I'd recommend checking this with staff to ensure a truly vegan meal beforehand.

Great Staff and Great Food - Edit
There were vegan options on the vegetarian part of the menu. The staff spoke good English and helped me to pick some great vegan food. The food was delicious.

Solid Indian food - Edit
Lille has many Asian restaurants, but most do not have a lot of vegetarian options listed clearly on the menu. Maharani is similar to Indian restaurants in Holland and Germany, with a special category on the menu for vegetarian dishes.
Even though you have to pay separately for the rice with your curry, the total price is still quite on the cheap side for Lille. Service is very fast, English is spoken and the food tastes very good.
Pros: high quality food, decent number of veg options, affordable
