All of the Magpye range of vegan pies are wonderful but their vegan beer n steak pies n (no) pork pies are particularly delicious; gutted they haven’t had a stall at the Quayside Mkt during our last few visits coz their tenner deal for 3 pies has often set us up for a top drawer Sunday Dinner - gunna have to get an order into their HQ to get a delivery from em! Highly recommended, genuinely don’t think ya will find better vegan pies!

I was finally able to experience Magpye via Sea Change vegetarian cafe in South Shields who offer a magpye filling of the day with chips and peas. On this particilar day it was mince and onion and I must say, I was very impressed. The pastry was superb while the filling was very tasty but perhaps needed just a tad more seasoning. I would love to be able to try more fillings so for now it's a solid 4*.

This really is a must place to go to when in Newcastle on a Sunday. 100% plant powered pies with succulent fillings in a beautiful melt in your mouth pastry. You can have your pie with delicious creamy mash and mushy peas with the tastiest home made gravy. It’s a lovely quirky van situated in a truly wonderful setting. I can’t wait to go back for more, this is a top 10 HappyCow listing for me.

We took home 2 seitain pies as the porky pies had already sold out! Warmed really well in the oven without any splurtly mess bubbling out. Really good thick tasty pastry. Almost tasted buttery! Thick hearty filling with great texture. Made a lovely filling meal at home with peas, gravy and other stir fry greens :)
