Really lovely guy that took our order and I felt reassured that he took time to be clear which of our meals needed to be vegan. Plenty of vegan and veggie options, and clearly labelled - lots of effort. Food was very good. Slightly lacking in flavour for my taste (apart from the salt and pepper chips, which were delicious), maybe consideration into an alternative for fish sauce would benefit taste. Still though, overall, lovely fresh tasting food, happy service and reasonable prices. Would recommend

Read moreThe food was very good and the guy working there was nice and made it clear what food would and wouldn’t be vegan. Very nice and would recommend as a takeaway option in Windermere for vegans.
Worth mentioning is that you have to ring up and book a slot for them to make your food as this is the way it operates. Never been an issue, though, and the food is always served on time 😁👍

In all honesty, I've came back to this place time
after time, this is my third time returning. The food quality is of a high standard and the taste is delicious. The owner of this establishment is very polite and welcoming. And I am all for supporting local businesses, in the past I've ordered a set meal and the waiting time was in the access of one hour and 40 minutes as the demand is extremely high. I waited in my vehicle outside and the gentleman came out and noticed myself waiting in the car, he proceeded to hurry the chef along and make my order faster than the time agreed, which was a very nice thing to do considering it was a Saturday evening . If you're in the Lake District, please try this food. I can guarantee hand on heart you will not be disappointed.

As others have said, there's a veggie menu with items containing eggs marked clearly. Staff will mark your order as vegan for the kitchen. Had egg-free fried rice, tofu with black bean, and salt and chilli chips - all delicious and very garlicky!

Lovely guy at magic wok for some takeaway when it was crazy busy during school holidays and we had already been refused from 3 different restaurants. Straight away asked if I was vegan when ordering veg so that was easy as, would be great to have options marked on the menu though, portions were decent for the price. Took it and ate it looking over the lake !

Had the Tofu Green Peppers and Blackbean sauce, with a veg vermicelli. Staff accomdated and made sure dishes were vegan. Very Tasty. Worth a visit.

We had the soup, veggie fried rice, bean curd with black bean and the broccoli with garlic. All was delicious except the stir fried broccoli was too soft it was almost as if it was par boiled first then wok fried leaving it a bit soggy but we will go back and ask them to stir fry it so it has sone crunch.

I got a takeout from here on my hols. The food was all so delicious! I got beancurd in black bean sauce, salt n chilli bean curd, rice and salt n chilli chips! Will deffo go back when I next visit the Lakes. Perfect food for after a long day out!

I want to rate them 5 stars! The staff were very helpful and talked us through the vegan menu options. We had salt and pepper tofu, sweet and sour tofu, mixed vegetable fried rice and mixed vegetable chow mein. All of it was great and I wish I lived closer to visit again.

We were so pleased to see a dedicated Vegan Vegetarian Menu, everyone should now have these.
The food was amazing and the Salt & Pepper Tofu was the best we have ever tasted, with nice big portions.
Definitely worth a visit, make sure you book as it gets busy.
