Came for the food, stayed for the stories

Kevin is a beautiful and inspiring spirit. His knowledge and collection of stories, both personal and of the locals who grew up in the area, will have the hands on the clock whirling away.
I loved the vibe and everything is made in house. The food is great and the kombucha is so refreshing. The glass bottles are all reused ♻️ as Kevin is quite dedicated to more conscious environmental practices.

It’s artsy, it’s fully vegan and freshly made, what’s not to love?!

Come here.

Pros: Conscious, Environmental efforts, Homemade kombucha, The owner is an outstanding human being

Great burgers and kombucha!

Vegan burger was delicious - tried both tomato and mustard - and the kombucha was great too!

Home Brewed Kombucha

Was passing by after our Ramen lunch. Owner came out and complimented my partner. Next thing we are in sharing a drink and got an impromptu show when the other owner came in and started playing the guitar. Super pleasant.

Love all the animal rights stuff. Makes my heart smile.

Great burgers

Cosy place and service minded. We were in the mood for pizza but found out that for the moment they just had burgers, down scale menu due to covid-19. Got the tip to look att the menu on Facebook. Great burgers!

Malt Sodas Are A Must

Went twice during my trip to Tainan. Ordered the Malt Sodas twice, extremely refreshing and tasty. I also ordered a pumpking break tofu sandwich was really delicious also.

The lady who works at the shop (perhaps part owner) is extremely friendly and makes the visit so much better! Highly recommend.

Pros: Great vegan food and drinks in a cozy space

Cons: None

My go to breakfast

This place was just a 5 min walk away from my place while I stayed in Tainan. I went there almost every single day. The bread is so fluffy and chewy. They make a roasted tomato with cashew cheese and dill bun, a guava bun, sometimes Mexican concha bun, and sandwiches and hummus or baked tofu. On rare occasions, an intern makes pies, sweet and savory options. Prices range from 30-100. Really yummy stuff. The main business, I guess, is kombucha and malt soda. The owner is an American guy who rocks out on his guitar or shares his philosophy. Most days you'll find a lovely lady who works there too and she will gladly makes things for you with a smile.

Pros: Sweet breads, Guava delights, All vegan

Cons: runs out quickly

Excellent kombucha and baked items!

Kevin hails from Florida and has lived in Tainan for a long time (initially to learn kungfu). He's very friendly and loves to have vegans at his shop. He was inspired to collect used glass bottles from bars around town and wash and sanitize them thoroughly before reusing them to bottle his house-brewed kombucha (NT$90) and malt soda. (No, the bottles are not different colors because of the difference in contents.) You can buy his drinks and return the bottles for reuse. His baked goods are also excellent! I got to enjoy a couple of different pizza flavors while I was there. The crust was phenomenal. Try out his vegan bakery in North District (憨吉胖: https://goo.gl/maps/XvBMviLyoC6ajkS79) on weekdays for more.

Although they don't have wifi, I camped out one afternoon to work on a report while using my own mobile hotspot and plugged into the wall. It was also fun to chat with other customers who came in, many of whom are also vegan.😄Don't miss Kevin's shop when you're in Tainan!

Pros: zero-waste, all vegan, friendly staff

Cons: no wifi
