Juice shop offering cold-pressed juices, smoothies, and a fridge with grab n go prepared vegan food and salads. Vegan except for honey. Reported closed August 2023.
Everything at Magic Mix is vegan, organic, and free of gluten, soy, and most other common allergens. (Some items do have raw nuts.) When you talk to the staff, you can tell they're passionate about the food they make and sell. I've been here maybe a dozen times, and have loved almost every item I've tried.
Of the green juices, the Green Aphrodite tastes like apple juice, and masks the flavors of kale, spinach, etc.
The Green Delight tastes like lemonade, and also masks the greens flavor. The Green Radiance tastes like traditional green juice, you can really taste the greens. The Root Sensation red juice is also good.
The salads are outstanding. Even if you think you're not a salad person, try the salads here. My two favorites are Ensalada en Fuego (lettuce, brazil nut "meat", guacamole, salsa, etc!) and the Five Spice Sunny Thai salad (marinated kale, sunflower seeds, mango, kim chee, and tons of fresh herbs!).
Most of the entrees (all raw) are good, too. Down on the Bayou is amazing! (cauliflower, lettuce, avocado, hot peppers, Cajun vegan mayo, etc.)
And the desserts -- especially the raw pies/cheesecake type things -- are fabulous! Don't miss the Protein Paradise smoothie and the Peaches-N-Beaches smoothie!
Even if (like me) you are not on an all-raw diet, give this place a chance!
My husband went to Magic Mix Juicery today and brought me home dinner. Even though he'd been lugging it around for 8 hours, it was amazing. He said the place was great and clean and the staff was beyond helpful & attentive. It is just one of those happy places where the people running it clearly love & believe in what they are doing.
I got to taste the indian summer bread, exotic strawberry banana toast with vanilla maca coconut creme, power berry bagel with almond butter and a kale salad. All of it was fantastic, filling and perfectly spiced. As a vegan with celiac, this place is a dream come true. Even my 12-year old thought it was delicious, so that's saying something.
It is expensive? Heck yeah.
But there is a good reason and it is completely worth it.
Can't wait to go back there. I love this place!! Enjoy!

Not all vegan - Edit
They say it's vegan but IT'S NOT. Bees are animals, right? Very expensive for small amounts.
