An oasis in a non-vegan world

You will have trouble here at the northern border with Myanmar finding anything having to do with Vegan. that’s why this place is a site for sore eyes, even though the appearance of it might give you sore eyes lol. has the yellow sign which is the Vegan symbol around the country. It’s a hole in the wall like they all are but the selections are nice and wonderful. Young man was very hospitable and let me try some different saucesand also brought over fried vegetables on the house. Obviously not fine dining, but if you require Vegan this is the place !

Charming, healthy, and very cheap

I only caught this place for dinner just as they were closing up around 6pm, actually while looking for YG around the corner. The owner lady was practically singing about how the dishes, rice, and soup would not be tasty because they're cold instead of hot. Very sweet and endearing. She encouraged me to come back the next day, but I insisted and am glad I did. A pretty unassuming venue, the selection of dishes in the buffet was limited by the time of day but all very healthy and fresh. A nice view of a busy intersection in a fascinating, dense section of town by the border crossing. There's English on the chalkboard sign, and she happily repeated herself in Thai.
(Lived across the street from here for a year, and I believe they're vegan, a fine, family operation some say is the best in town.)
