Dishes made to order and adjust to your spiciness preference

Watching the road on my bike, I almost rode right past this place, but I'm glad I stopped in. The proprietor doesn't speak much English but is very friendly and aware that foreigners are sensitive to spice levels. I tried and failed to communicate that I was hungry enough for two dishes. She kept offering more sides, which were eventually filling enough. Lots of sauce and nice, slightly sweet flavor in the mild version of the mushroom curry I ordered. Nice place to charge one's phone or chill out indoors on a hot day, though I wasn't able to get on the wifi.

Tried submitting this twice as a different restaurant, as I suspect much in the area is named after the university. The hours posted on photos are different, from 7:30am-7pm, and I think it should be one $, not two $$--nothing appears to cost over 60 Baht. Also tried to update the location: southwest of campus on the left side going northbound on Highway 1. Again, it is on the main highway going to Mae Chan/Mae Sai, not in an alley.

Pros: Varied and inexpensive menu, very friendly owner, Spiciness level is fully adjustable

Cons: Location is quite isolated on a big highway, Learn some Thai before ordering something complex, Couldn't find wifi network
