Subpar tea set - Edit
I always compare this very unfavourably with Komalavilas, which is very nearby, because prices are higher, food is worse, and service is shoddier. I would only visit here if Komalavilas queues are too long.

Don't order the VIP thali - Edit
VIP Thali comes with promise of unlimited top up, but reality they won't or will purposely delay in order to prevent you from taking off their high profit margins.

Amazing Indian Set Meal - Edit
I am a huge Indian food fan and all I can say is this meal left me satisfied. It was indeed above expectations and I even topped up rice once which wasn't charged on the bill.

Amazing authentic Indian food - Edit
Me and my sceptical mom loved this place! Mostly locals were there. The waiters spoke decent English and understand what vegan meant. It’s super cheap for the mass of food you get. Would def recommend this place. Just know it’s not a fancy place.

Hut fluffy appoms, and a cup of Indian filter coffee is what you need to have on a rainy afternoon at Madras New Woodlands. Of course, you could always try their delicious spicy tofu sambal, mock mutton briyani and fresh-out-of-the-deep-fryer vadais.
