They don’t know what vegan means

I have had great pizza here. However if you want a vegan pizza, there’s about a 40% chance that they’ll get it right.

They offer a gluten free crust that is not vegan. The regular crust is vegan. If you say you’re ordering a vegan pizza, chances are high that they’ll give you a gluten free crust, because the staff is constantly changing and the folks at the counter don’t know the difference between “gluten free” and “vegan”, so choose your words carefully.

To get a vegan pizza: order the pizza you want. Ask them to take off the toppings you don’t want, like cheese. Then ask for vegan cheese. DON’T SAY YOU WANT A VEGAN PIZZA. They will mess that up. The people who work in the kitchen are more knowledgeable than the counter staff, so you can always order at the front, then check in at the kitchen.

Cons: Some nice people at the counter, some real jerks, It’s a bar, so there’s drunks, Not the brightest bulbs taking orders

Unexpectedly Awesome Pizza

We found this place on a Sunday bike ride to Marshall. All the other restaurants were closed and we didn’t expect much, but the menu had vegan crust and cheese. We had their specialty “Fig Caramelizad Onion” pizza made vegan and it was awesome. It had arugula on top of garlic and olive oil base with figs, caramelized onion and balsamic drizzle. Delicious!

Pros: Vegan cheese and crust , Atmosphere, Great service

Cons: No vegan proteins
