Pleasant Surprise !!! - Edit
While on vacation I went to Macai on 2 occasions. The 1st time I ordered the individual Mexican Pizza served with soy chorizo, tomatoes, mushrooms, vegan cheese on top of a perfectly thin crust. The 2nd time I ordered the gourmet burger served with a vegan patty, sautéed mushrooms & onions on a toasted bun. Both items were tasty, satisfying and perfect portion size (not too over-filling). I also ordered a juice (Super Holly) and smoothie (Coco Cacao). The juice and smoothie menu shows the individual ingredients and health benefits (which I liked).

The staff is super friendly and made every effort to meet our needs. (Other reviewers have complained about slow service). This is not a fast food joint. It takes time and effort to prepare some menu items including smoothies and juices.
Overall I enjoyed the food, affordable prices, the friendly staff, and look forward to visiting Macai again.

Read moreI dont know about the rest of the dishes but I tried a vegan hamburger and a "parfait" that supously happened to had coconut milk ice-cream but the hamburger was definitely improbable and the "parfait" was a vegan brownie (that actually taste good) with a tiny cup of coconut milk/yogurt. It was definetly a excellent customer service but far to be a tasty vegan restaurant that I will try to get back to, if I could cook or go to somewhere else I'll go for the alternative option

No se del resto de los platillos pero en lo que respecta a la vez que fui, pedimos una hamburguesa y un "parfait" con una bola de nieve de leche de coco encima. La hamburguesa dejaba mucho que desear y el "parfait" no era mas que un brownie servido con un mini vaso/caballito con leche/yogurth de coco. Lo que si, la atención a cliente es excelente pero si tengo opción de ir a otro lugar o cocinar definitivamente tomo la alternativa

Poor menu, no flavor - Edit
They have very few options on the menu, it is not flavorful, they take a long time to serve the food. I once ordered a macai bowl and it was terrible, they have no idea of what that is supposed to be, they use ICE! not frozen berries or acai, so in a few minutes all I had was a water bowl with almost no flavor, hardly any fruit and a few almonds, very disappointing. Burgers are ok, no bid deal, panini the same thing, nothing to write home about, the bowl was probably the best thing I tried and still nothing special. I had given this place a few tries and it keeps being on the dissapointing side.
