Consistently yum - nice vibes, wifi sometimes - Edit
Love the food and the tunes at this place, sit upstairs for sure! Came here a couple of times and every time food was yum - though I would say the burger patty on the veggie burger is quite dry (before you smother it in ketchup).

Oh! And they have free wifi - but it kinda only works sometimes (but that’s Port Barton for ya haaaaaa)

Finaly I found a good Restaurant WOW - Edit
Just wow, I was struggled to find good and delicious food in the Philippines(even as an vegetarian, not vegan). This food here is fresh and well spiced, it was an really nice experience too eat here. Thank youuuuuu. 5 stars are not allowed by HappyCow because this restaurant is not a full vegetarian/vegan restaurant. But the only non-veggie thing I saw was the tuna-sandwich..

Okay option - Edit
Since there are a limited number of restaurants in Port Barton, Mabuti Eat and Chill made its way into my rotation on my second day out of seven. To be honest, I came by to see if their WiFi network was as good as other internet reviewers said it was. It’s not: I kept getting disconnected from Google apps.
Read moreI ordered their fruit shake with all three of the fruits they had available (i.e., banana, mango, and pineapple) with soy milk. It tasted refreshing and not too sweet. They were out of lumpia, avocado, veggie burger, and tomato pasta, so that ruled out many of their limited vegan items. (I guess that’s the problem with being on an island and having to source ingredients externally.) In the end, I went with their vegan creamy mushroom pasta, which was nicely done and was full of mushrooms.
Seating is all outdoor, and you can either sit out front or upstairs. Toilets are in the back. Service is normal for the Philippines: you need to flag down the waitstaff to get anything. There were a lot of flies at 09:00-11:00 in the morning, which was quite annoying.
Pros: tasty, fresh
Cons: limited vegan menu, out of multiple items

Ate here a few times during my stay. Particularly enjoyed the avocado salad and shakshuka! Portions were big for me, and meals are all around 250 pesos. Good service, good WiFi and nice atmosphere :)

Beware before you eat here - Edit
BE AWARE BEFORE YOU EAT HERE. The attitude of the owners (3 of them from Eastern Europe) is DISGRACEFUL. So after reading the reviews and seemingly having many vegan options, I thought let’s give it a try. They don’t really... they have oatmeal, veggie burger, some other thing they didn’t have available and salad. So we wanted the veggie burger but with tofu on the side for protein because we’d barely eaten anything. The waitress said that’s okay, but then the owner called her over and when she told the owner what we wanted she made a face as though we were weirdos for ordering this (not realising it was us beside her!) and then realised and came over and said they can’t do that because the chef doesn’t know how to prepare tofu. To be honest, that’s not what I care about. It is the way they speak to their staff. It is disgusting. We witnessed it the whole time we were sat down, they actually made the waitress cry and I bet that’s a common occurrence. They talk to their staff in such a degrading and disrespectful way, as though they’re lower than them. You can’t come over here to another country and hire cheap labour only to treat like dirt!! I was so so sad for the waitress, they had given us great service. We decided not to order because of this reason and left. We got a shake and that was it before all this happened. When I went to pay, the waitress said I’m very sorry mam with a shaky voice and clearly tears in her eyes, and I said do not worry at all!!! This is not your fault and I do not like the way they speak to you. Because it’s not right that she thinks it’s okay for them to treat her like that. That clearly meant a lot to her and I just hope they find other jobs that treat them better like actual human beings! They’re locals, hired by these westerners (I’m western too) who come over and fair enough you want to create a business, but do not think you can treat people like this in their own country and get away with it. We’ll never come back to your business and I URGE people NOT to eat here if you value human decency. I felt like I had to write a review!! I was shocked!! Don’t buy into the “chilled” vibe advertised, they are living a lie while creating a very very hostile and awkward atmosphere. Especially since we were sitting right beside them while they were talking down to their staff....

Cons: Disrespectful way they speak to their staff, Terrible atmosphere

good food but limited vegan options - Edit
The place is really nice, as well as the owners. The food seems fresh and the service is fast. Vegans options seem limited since their bread contain eggs. I also strongly suspect the top of the burger bun, even requested vegan,to have egg yolk on the top for the color...

We had breakfast and lunch there, the veggie burger was really good. They have a lot of vegetarian and vegan options. They use metal straws instead of plastic and they pleasantly refilled our water bottle!

large filling vegan burger - Edit
We really appreciated that this place was clear on it menu no meat no pork no plastic take away. We had the vegan burger with potato wedges - very good and super filling. They had some lovely juices and drinks as well. And sometimes a vegan gelato - unfortunately not when we were there. The atmosphere is nice as was management.
