Serves meat, vegan options available. Mexican restaurant with a vegetarian section on the menu. Omit cheese and sour cream from some of the dishes for extra vegan options. Casual atmosphere, small bar, everything is made in house down to the hot tortilla chips. NOTE: Reported November 2024 to have limited vegan options – please send updates to HappyCow. Open Mon-Thu 10:00am-9:00pm, Fri 10:00am-10:00pm, Sat 11:00am-10:00pm, Sun 10:00am-10:00pm.

Shouldn’t be on happy cow - Edit
They don’t really have vegan options. Their rice is cooked in chicken stock and one of the bean options is as well. Nothing can really be made vegan unless you get the fajitas with no rice and no salsas (which they put salsa on the table when you sit down so I had a bite of chicken broth apparently). Their vegetarian menu is not actually vegetarian as a result so idk why they call it than

Not vegan friendly - Edit
Waitress told us the only vegan option on the menu was black beans. Apparently even the salsa contains chicken broth and the veggie fajitas are cooked in butter. Despite having a vegetarian section of the menu, this is not even a vegetarian friendly restaurant. The vegetarian section of the menu lists their rice (contains chicken broth) and refried beans (contains lard). This restaurant should not be listed on HappyCow

El Presidente Tacos are awesome - Edit
I've tried almost every vegetarian option on this menu. The best ones are the el presidente tacos and the burrito banado with mole sauce.

Authentic mexican from scratch with a veggie section on the menu - Edit
Housemade chips. Housemade guac. A whole section on the menu for vegetarians. Sure, it isn't House of Mexica in Reno, but this is by FAR the most veggie-friendly Mexican place up here in the Tahoe mountains, and they're making real food from real ingredients. Nom nom nom.

Not very vegan-friendly. - Edit
I ordered here in the past and they inadvertently added dairy to my order. This time I went in. I was told that they were vegetarian-friendly, but they could make one item vegan. Did not appear to want to accommodate vegans.
