Amazing variety of flavours - Edit
A full cabinet of sorbets, going well beyond the usual lemon-mango-passionfruit standard flavours. I enjoyed a double scoop of Davis Plum Fejoa 😊

Luca’s Gelateria has a full counter of traditional gelato alongside a separate selection of vegan sorbets, with plenty of flavours available.
Read moreI tried the plum sorbet, which was refreshing and well done—but for me, it just didn’t hit the same as a creamy vegan gelato. Despite the number of options, I left feeling a bit underwhelmed, mostly because I’m just not a sorbet lady.
One downside was the lack of a restroom, which also means there’s nowhere to wash your hands before eating—something that would have made the experience more comfortable.
Overall, it’s nice to see vegan options available, but it didn’t quite satisfy the craving.

Great place which was super busy for a reason. Lots to choose from, and very generous portions. One scoop was enormous!

Initially we were impressed that there was a whole counter dedicated to vegan friendly flavours, although most were fruity sorbets. Still the best choice in the area though! Across two visits we tried mango, raspberry and chocolate. The chocolate was more dark than creamy but I liked it.

Most vegan icecream flavors I've seen in NZ - Edit
At least 8 tasty sorbet flavors: mixed berry, fejoa, chocolate, black doris plum, raspberry, mango, lemon, blackcurrant etc. Tastes kind of smooth rather than just flavored ice. While it doesn't say "vegan" on the display, the staff and the website will assure you that all sorbets are vegan. You can have it in paper tubs of different sizes or a small or large waffle cone with zero waste. There are lounge chairs outside for you to enjoy and watch the traffic go by. Scoops can be from kid's to regular (huge) Delightful spot few paces from the lake on a hot summer day to cool down and have a tasty sugar hit.
