Only pure vegetarian and vegan food - Edit
‘Only pure vegetarian and vegan food’ - that’s how this restaurant presents itself. Really, nothing more needs to be said. It’s a delightful little restaurant on the main street near Lumbini Market. During our visit to the Lumbini World Heritage site, we had lunch here three times and dinner twice. And there’s a reason for that. The vegan dishes are made fresh from scratch, and the flavors are simply irresistible.
Read moreThe staff is super friendly and attentive. It’s clear they cook not only with great passion but also with a spiritual intention. The owner was happy to share a book from his guru.
As a vegan in Lumbini, you can’t miss ‘Sat Saheb.’ And why would you…

Superb! - Edit
This is one of the best places I've eaten at, on a trip that has taken me through Thailand, Vietnam, and Nepal. Humble, warm smiles, and tasty, insanely cheap, local food! Don't let the simple surroundings fool you. Worth coming to Lumbini for if you love Nepali food. Thank you for being so lovely!

This is the place to eat in Lumbini! - Edit
This was such a pleasant surprise. It's a modest family run vegetarian/vegan place. I tried a couple places during my short stay in Lumbini and found this place to be the best. Their vegan thali was amazing! They serve several popular Nepali dishes such as momos, chow mein, curries etc. The owner was very friendly and let me know if we were ever in the area outside their operating hours you could call them to request if they can prepare food.

Great range of vegan food in Lumbini - Edit
When I arrived in Lumbini I thought it might be tricky to find great vegan food, but happy cow found this gem near my hotel. Had the mushroom curry, but the menu is mainly vegan, and a great choice of asian cuisine, with amazing friendly service.

Very accommodating owners and beautiful food - Edit
Vegan menu but a lot can be veganised. The owner/cook makes everything from scratch so there is a bit of a wait but the quantity, quality, presentation is just beautiful. Really lovely couple who run it

Went here for a quick and late evening meal. The owners running the place are super nice and since they knew how to accommodate vegans, it was a breeze to choose something from their wide menu.

Great vegan options - Edit
Had lunch and diner the same day, food was just delicious, staff more than friendly. We had the Thali set, momo’s, aloo Paratha, chili gobi and a vegan Biryani. All I would highly recommend but I liked the Gobi best. So tasteful and crunchy.
Read moreAlso, most Nepali food I had the last three weeks was high in salt. Here they seem to be a bit more careful with the salt and I do prefer that. You can always add some yourself if you want to.
Do consider all the food is freshly prepared when you order it so it may take some time.
Pros: Great taste quality vegan options , Very affordable , Less salt

Best thali set I’ve had in Nepal - Edit
To find the word vegan anywhere in Nepal is difficult and it’s right here on the menu! Food here is delicious and the price is amazingly low. You have to come here if you’re in Lumbini. All served by a friendly smiling family😄

the place unfortunately looks very uninviting and run down but if you can ignore that you will get amazing vegan and vegetarian food. we ate here 3 days in a row and tried everything on the vegan menu. the govi chili and the manchurian rice were our favorites. the owners are lovely people and the food is very cheap. we were very grateful for this place!

What a beautiful family - Edit
Just at the side street to the main road and closs to the Maya Devi temple, you’ll find this little family run joint. The father has worked as a proffessional chef for 16 years in a hotel, and decided to quit once he (and his family) went vegetarian. He cooks great good, alongside help from his wife and daughter. The family is absolutely wonderful! Everything is vegetarian with loads of vegan things, and I really recommend you go here, eat well and support this family😄

Must-visit veggie restaurant in Lumbini - Edit
We found this small eatery from google and Happy Cow. After reading glowing reviews, we decided to give it a try and we were not disappointed! The food is so fresh, delicious and made with lots of love and care. We tried veggie momos( steamed and fried versions), veg cut let, sandwich, mushroom chilli, pakhoda, and a few different sets. They all taste delicious! I voted this place as the best vegan eatery in Lumbini 🫶 The couple is so beautiful and kind. I highly recommend you to try their food! Enjoy your food and support these veggie business 🪷

Best food in Lumbini - Edit
The owners were absolutely lovely! The food just as good. Everything was made fresh so took a little while to come but it was absolutely delicious. We order the thali set and a curry with rice. The thali set does come with curd but we just left it off to the side. If you are visiting Lumbini I highly recommend coming and eating here.

Must go. - Edit
Do not listen to the totally unfair review below mine. Nothing of what was said was true. An absolutely loving family owned place with great food for a fair and affordable Nepali price. They take care of you with refills if you get a Thali Set and know exactly what a vegan is. We went every meal while in Lumbini.

NOT A GOOD PLACE - Edit
It is not a good place. Food is costly and unhygienic. It is a dark and dingy place very much inside the building at the back side.
Read moreThe place is hot and when there is no electricity in spite of having the generator they do not put on the fan and when the guests ask that please put on the fan they say that there is no electricity. They, in fact, put the regulator button to zero and even when the button is on the fan does not come on. They thus fool the customers.
There are some females sitting there to cook the food and they keep making the noise and chatting obliviously of the fact that there are customers sitting to have their food. The ladies have no manners or etiquettes and it is a non-professional center. They are rustic people and it seems like a family affair.
Pros: none
Cons: no good, mannersless, unprofessional place, unhygienic, costly

nepali thali! - Edit
Delicious nepali thali!! Consisted of rice, dal, sauteed greens, veg curry, bitter gourd, small salad, papad, and chutney. The owners are super nice and welcoming, gave me seconds at no charge! They have Indian food, nepali, smaller plates, and momos of course. [ Simply ask to omit yogurt/curd/paneer to make it vegan ;) ]
