Vegan strong and Vegan Love - Edit
I Love LUHV, meant the owner for the first time and her spirit projects more love than you can imagine. You can taste the love in all the wonderful soups, sandwiches and everything she makes. I've been going here every time I'm in town and it was more than an honor to make her acquaintance.

Loved eating at a vegan deli in the midst of all of the meat at Reading Terminal Market. We got the Philly cheesesteak and the Reuben to share. Just fun to eat something that I otherwise wouldn’t. Very satisfying.

Ordered the cheesesteak as I figured you don’t see this menu option everyday. The bun was fresh and the sandwich toppings plentiful. Also ordered the Argentinian empinada and that was just okay. Service was friendly and fast. $16 USD. Note as you make your way to the food stall you’ll pass unpleasant reminders of all the animals people eat.

I recently visited Philadelphia and was excited to find an all vegan option in the Reading Terminal Market. I ended up ordering lunch two days in a row from Luhv's because it was so good. I tried the Rachel and a Reuben and both were equally incredible. The second day we were a little short on time so I ordered online and my sandwich was ready as soon as I stopped in to pick it up.

What a busy marketplace LUHV Deli is in!!! Luckily they have a place there because there are very few other vegan options in there. I got the Reuben; Toasted rye topped with corned seitan, sauerkraut, 1000 island dressing, and provolone cheese. They use Follow your heart cheese. It was $10 for the sandwich, which I felt was a very good price given the Reading Terminal Market was all very pricey. I also got a Mediterranean empanada that was amazingly good!! The service was pretty quick for a busy place and the staff were friendly and patient.

1/7/24: Hate to leave a negative review for a vegan place we hoped to luhv, but we really were disappointed. We ordered the lox bagel (smoked beets and capers). The bagel bread was horrible! So unbelievably hard. Friends were laughing at me as they watched me try to bite into it. Very disappointing. However, the inside filling with smoked beets and capers was so delicious!! They need to buy better bagels. I wonder if they were stale??

I stopped in three days in a row when I visited Philly. The Blt and the caprese were fantastic! The "tuna" was good, and it actually tasted better when I finished it the next day. And don't sleep on their soup or forget to add a brownie!

My partner surprised me with lunch from LUHV today. Before I went vegan, I loved having smoked salmon bagels fairly regularly. It’s been so long! I was so excited to open the wrapper and find a vegan version of an old classic. The food was fresh and flavorful, and quite filling! I also had bean soup and a brownie. Thank you for a delicious lunch, and for operating plastic neutral!! 💚

Bf had the bacon egg cheese bagel and it was soooo dry. Not a fan of whatever turmeric saturated egg patty they’re using. He took 2 bites and couldn’t finish it.

Really thick, hot soup with lentils and chickpeas. It's INSIDE the Reading Terminal Market. Some other stalls have vegan items, but this is the only ALL vegan stall.

Missed by a Lot - Edit
My wife went yesterday and had a warm bagel with cream cheese and lox. I tasted it and liked it. I'm a bagel snob and thought the bagel was just okay, but the rest was good.
Read moreWe went today and my sandwich was not edible. The bagel was not toasted and was dripping and soaked in maybe the lox or capers juice. I couldn't eat it.
I also had a Reuben that was just okay. It needed a lot more sauerkraut and dressing and the seitan though tasty was a pretty mushy consistency.
I won't be back.
