A conventional market chain that stocks also organic and natural food and products, including vegan groceries, supplements, beauty products. Coffee bar offers plant milk upon request. Reported closed April 2020.
I go to Lucky's when I go to Paradise Health & Nutrition down the road. Nothing there, aside from multivitamins and DHA, make me make a trip specifically for Lucky's. It's not a bad store in any way, it just doesn't have anything else I can't technically get closer to home.
One of my favorite things to do when I go to Lucky's is check out the produce. The prices are Publix-comparable but the selection is a step up. Everything is always so fresh and yummy! I really don't like the plastic bags they put green beans and such into but I'm trying to reuse them.
The frozen selection is okay (more at Publix/Wal-Mart honestly) with the only notable thing being that they get unique ice creams in sometimes. I picked up some Cado avocado ice cream yesterday and it's seriously amazing!
The refrigerated section is, again, okay. They've got the staples but not many unique flavors/options. The only notable thing I've found in a year of going is they have the new, vegan wonton and eggroll wrappers from Nasoya.
The bakery/bread selection is pitiful but they have Dave's (which I don't like) and some vegan-suitable 'fresh' baked bread. They also carry the amazing, wonderful, fantastic Abe's muffin line! And for some awful reason they change where it's located EVERY TIME I GO and make me sad because I think it's gone.
They've got a very standard selection of shelf stuff, again nothing I've found that makes me go oooh or aaahhh.
The bulk section is where real savings and selection comes into play but I just don't eat enough or have enough people to feed my food to make use of it.
They've got supplements and they're laid out in an easy-to-navigate way with a handful of vegan options throughout.
Cheap fruit and veggies, $7.99 olive oil, good prices on fresh bulk, open late. Not all giant fruit like Publix - sometimes you want small apples, right? App gives you extra savings. Strong selection of faux dairy. Decent vegan cookies. Yes, they do have pricey vegan bakery and deli items, but you pay more for convenience.😄Great service, and hilariously friendly beered up fellow shoppers on weekend nights.
I’m on vacation and needed something for my son and was able to find it without a problem! Almost exactly like a store I have back home and had the same products!
If you are searching for a vegan friendly grocery store, this is my favorite in the area. It has plenty of vegan grocery items from chocolate, to dairy alternatives, they also have great organic produce and bulk items. They also have prepared foods which detail all their ingredients.
This is one of my favorite grocery stores. They carry a good assortment of vegan items but they also have their own brand, which they donate 10% of every purchase to charity. They also help local charities through their bag donation program where if you bring in a reusable bag, they donate 10 cents. Lucky’s also has vegan cookies in their bakery and sometimes they feature marinated tofu in the deli section. Everything is clearly labeled for allergies in the deli too, which makes it convenient to find vegan options. Finally, I love their bulk section which allows me to reduce the amount of plastic waste I generate.
I've visited this Lucky's twice (the first/so far only Lucky's I've been to) and I liked most of what I saw both times. I agree with clovely.vegan's review - it's got a bunch of vegan options and the produce I got from it was good, but I did notice that some berries on the shelf were going over. Not to say that Lucky's is unique in this regard, so I won't ding them too hard for that; always double-check before you get, and I'd recommend buying if it looks a little ugly but isn't going bad - food waste is a real problem!
The major thing I was impressed by in terms of veganism was the variety of vegan goodies they had - my local Walmart stocks a decent amount of vegan options, my local Publix offers more variety, but Lucky's blows them both out of the water. If you're a junk-food vegan like moi, I would recommend checking out Lucky's frozen section - Daiya vegan pizzas and So Delicious vegan ice cream sandwiches are my guilty pleasure purchases I have to get whenever I go, because I can't get them anywhere else! Apart from that though, I just like the overall vibe of Lucky's - it tries hard to be a do-right store. Like when you bring in reusable bags, you get tokens you can choose to have Lucky's donate to local non-profits. I'm a sucker for a store I can feel good shopping at. Another thing I like is it's got a Reward program app so you can sign up on your smartphone, bring your smartphone to the store, and get points for discounts next time you're in line. I'm a Rewards program sucker too! One last thing that's pretty cool? I noticed in at least the produce section there's a place to write down things you'd like to have stocked in the store that aren't. That's pretty neat.
It's a little out of my way, so I do wish that there were more of it (or like it) so I could shop there more regularly.
Absolutely adore this place! Love the self serve bulk aspects and diy stations all over the place, and the fact that they make vegan goodies in store! So glad I don't have to go all the way to Orlando for whole foods anymore!
Lucky's is, well...simply fabulous! So many vegan options for reasonable prices. I found most of my vegan frozen foods for way less than other grocery stores, and with more of a selection. Great juices (included freshly cold-pressed ones) and awesome variety of fresh produce. You could smell the fruits and veggies from outside the front doors. Store was clean and well-stocked. Staff was friendly and helpful. Definitely my favorite grocery store I have ever been too.
It's nice to have a market nearby that has lots of organic produce and vegan options. I also appreciate the friendly and helpful staff. I used to drive into Orlando to buy specialty flours and grains and now I don't have to. Thanks Lucky's!

Pros: easy-to-navigate supplement section, wide variety of fresh, loose produce, Abe's muffins
Cons: can be quite crowded & long lines at times, small bakery selection

Sadly they didn't have the beyond meat burgers I was looking for but really nice store. Basically a Whole Foods grocery store but smaller.
