Good variety

Mostly vegan menu. Was great to order a bunch of items with my non-veg coworkers, who enjoyed their vegan dishes. I especially liked the sesame “chicken.”

Thank you

Only some of their fried rice noodle can choose with or without eggs(vegetarian) , the rest of dishes are all vegans .

They have lovely Buddhism music, decoration, and atmosphere in the restaurant. Thank you

The shifu clock out and left with his electronic bike on time 8:30 pm, so don’t try to place the order after that. Oh and they are cash only store so make sure got your cash before you come

This is my first time here😄because everytime when I’m around they close already, they close rarely early comparing with other stores. love their vegan options. Many thanks :)

Their vegan roasted pork totally reminds me of the hk vegan restaurant in Astoria name “jujube “ , ever since they closed I can’t find any other places has that taste anymore. I will totally come back for the “1. Roast pork “ and “2. Stir fried hofun” again😄their hofun has the Chinese herbal medicine taste that I familiar with😄totally love it😄many thanks

And I was very surprised that their “34 sautéed string bean” is sautéed with #豆 豉 ( ㄔˇ ) (fermented beans) this is a very hunan style of sautéed style totally reminds me of my grandma, thank you

And the most amazing things about this restaurant is that your phone has no signal when you are here underground, wow I truly enjoy the quiet moment that no disturb from the phone

Must stop in Brooklyn Chinatown

What’s a stop at Chinatown without Chinese food? And what’s Chinese food without Lucky Vegetarian? And if you come here between 11 am and 3:30 pm, you can get the special lunch combo with rice, soup, salted peanuts, and tea. I got the hot and spicy fish whose fragrant flavors paired so well with the bed of steamed broccoli it was served on.

There are so many great options (braised dried bean curd, seafood pan fried noodle) so bring a friend to share.

Lucky is just off the 8th Ave drag. and if you’re directionally challenged like me, you can miss it. To help, I took a pic of the entrance so you don’t have to walk around like I did and get to all the yumminess much faster.

Delicious

A few friends and I got delivery from here recently. We really enjoyed everything except the sea vegetable thing… the white one not the green one. It was super thick and the pieces were huge and didn’t absorb the sauce at all. They were hard to eat. But the sauce was great on
rice. And the things my friends chose tasted great … One of the mock pork dishes, curry mock chicken, and mock ribs I believe. Not really my favorite style of food, but objectively it was really tasty. And my friends loved it. They’re not all vegan but they still went there again the next day. Oh and the dumplings were good too. And they included chopsticks and hot sauce just like we requested. I’m not used to that! Plus the delivery was so fast. A little lady on a moped brought our food. She was sweet. I’d recommend this place and I’d happily eat here again.

The best veg Chinese place in the city

This place is unparalleled. It's so much better than all the other veg Chinese options in the city, although it is not fully vegan. The lunch specials are awesome and allow sampling of many dishes. The menu is varied and interesting.

Pros: Great food, Awesome lunch specials

Cons: Not fully vegan, Menu doesn't say what is vegan or what has eggs, Out of the way and hard to find parking

Best veg Chinese in Brooklyn

In the basement of a Buddhist temple, this is my favorite vegetarian Chinese restaurant. Try the ma po tofu and the fried rice. Generous portions, very clean and friendly staff

A Hidden Gem

We enjoyed the Lunch Special: innovative, well prepared and generous portions. It included soup, entree and rice (white). The Fish Filet with Bean curd Combo came in a sizzling pot loaded with mushrooms in a delicate broth. And the Stewed vegetarian chicken with three sauce combo included lots of mushrooms and fresh basil. Premium ingredients unexpected in a $6.50 lunch special. This is definitely not your standard vegan Chinese.

Pros: excellent food, good value, friendly staff

Cons: cash only, basement location

Brooklyn Chinatown

It's great to finally have a vegetarian restaurant in Brooklyn Chinatown/Sunset Park! The crispy duck appetizer and twice cooked pork are my favorite so far.
