Woman owned small business got it right - Edit
I’d love to support Lucky Lemon more but their hours are not conducive to my work schedule. I did get out here once and am glad I made the trip. Well worth it.
Read moreThe owner is friendly and helpful with information on the area. The variety and amount of food options is vast for a small business. I did not visit the bathroom or eat in, but from what I saw, the place appeared to be clean and well lit. There was loud-ish music playing which would prevent me from staying inside too long because I’m HSP but I’m aware most people like that sort of thing.
Finding this was tricky for me; I’m new to the area and my GPS had me nearby but not right here. It’s in a small stand alone shopping strip with maybe 3 businesses.
Definitely a gem and I hope many people support this business; there are none others like it nearby. I’d love to see someone else open at least a vegan friendly place in the area. Hopefully Lucky Lemon encourages someone else to start offering healthy vegan items in their restaurants.

Kokomo’s hidden gem - Edit
It’s so nice to have a local vegan restaurant with no worries about anything not being vegan. The food is all delicious and trustworthy. The baked goods are where this place shines.

A must visit! - Edit
I can’t rave about this place enough. The people were so friendly and helpful with everything. The food was so so delicious especially the macaroni salad and chick’n sandwich. Their cookies were also so amazing, my non vegan friend ate two!

Delicious Vegan & GF - Edit
They have a great selection of vegan and gluten free food and bakery items. My non-vegan daughter came with me and she really enjoyed the Patty melt. I had the falafel bowl. It was very good. The vegan/gf oatmeal cream pie was absolutely amazing. We will be back!

Wow! Vegan Kokomo - Edit
What a sweet vegan place in Kokomo. The staff greeting with me joy and offered suggestions. Everything sounded delicious. The Dill Pickle Potato Soup sounded odd enough to intrigue me. It’s delicious. The Po’ Boy tasted great. I have a carload of sweet treats to eat on the way out of town. I will be stopping here often. Amazing. Vegan is the future and vegan is now, in Kokomo.

Friendly owner, good food. - Edit
Update: We visited the new location and ordered the Gyro, the French dip sandwich and blueberry donuts. All of the food was tasty but the donuts had an interesting texture. Overall I’m satisfied and would recommend this place to others.
Read moreVery excited for a vegan restaurant in Kokomo but the food is just okay. I had a few of the sandwiches which were alright. I wouldn’t go back for them but the both of the drinks we had were amazing. The cupcakes were hard so we just ate the icing off of them I wouldn’t get those again either. The owner was very kind and there are a ton of options. I just wish my food experience was a little better.

Absolutely Amazing - Edit
Every time I’m working in Kokomo I have to have lunch at Lucky Lemon (which consist of two meals and 2-4 baked goods). Food is absolutely amazing this morning I happened to pass by and saw they serve breakfast and had thee best breakfast burrito I have ever ate. I could literally put the same ingredients in a tortilla and not even come close to replicating the taste.

This place is a GEM! - Edit
We ate here once a week when we were living in Kokomo. We now live 30 minutes away and still come back to eat here. Friendly female owner and rest of staff was always nice and helpful. We love their jack fruit crunch wrap and french dip sandwich. They always have baked goods stocked and you can custom order for a celebration. It is called a bakery but their food is what brings us in and seems to be their focus since opening a permanent location (they no longer set up at farmers markets). Lucky Lemons current spot only has a couple tables for two out front and no inside seating. We found it helpful to call in order ahead of time and it was ready when we got there. There is a park close by with picnic tables that also has a play place for kids. Open for lunch and they currently offer dinner on Tuesdays each week.

Sooooooo sooooooooo DELICIOUS! - Edit
I had the dill pickle soup which was absolutely delicious! It was so good that my omni daughter tried mine, and made me go back and get her some! I also got a couple chocolate chip cookies which were delicious too! I grew up in Kokomo and moved to Ohio 17 years ago. I started transitioning to being a vegan last year, and never imagined having an all vegan restaurant in Kokomo when I came back to visit! This is amazing!

Delicious local and women owned business - Edit
Moving to a small town I thought I would not have any vegan options low and behold I found Heather’s shop and it’s been live since first bite! She now has a walk up brick and mortar store with limited outdoor seating on E Markland where Wen-Sat from 10-2 she has a set menu and weekly specials as well as baked goods and coffees, tea and lemonade from a local coffee shop. Ever since she opened I think I go at least once if not twice a week.🙈 Some of my favorites are her fried potato tacos and chicken sandwich. Her scones are some of the best I’ve ever tasted. She’s even baked my children’s birthday cakes. I recommend her to everyone vegan or not and they all love it. Highly recommend stopping through Kokomo just for her food.

Great place serving Vegan grub that is hard to find in Kokomo - Edit
They tend to have a rotating menu and offer a variety of options that are a nice change of pace. Enjoyed the Philly Cheesesteak I ordered up from them today. Heather (operator) recently started her brick and motar location after serving up baked goods at the local farmers market and partnering with local businesses to hold pop-up events. If you get the opportunity give them a try, they are more than just a bakery!
