Good experience - Edit
We came to Lucky Leek after two years and unfortunately the dinner was a little bit disappointing. The food was tasty and different than anywhere else, but definitely less special than what I remembered. The staff was not very friendly. I’m not sure if we are visiting Lucky Leek again.

Amazing. - Edit
This place is magical. We did the 3-course tasting Menu and every single item they brought out was unbelievably delicious. I also did the paired wine tasting and they all perfectly complimented each course. The food was so delicious I kept starting to eat before remembering that I wanted pictures 😂 It’s definitely a splurge that is well worth it!

Fancy food, not so fancy ambience - Edit
I loved the multi-course menu and various options. The drinks were also great. The staff was very attentive and the food was served quickly. The interior of the restaurant could use a makeover in my opinion.

Luxurious - Edit
I had a really good time here. It's expensive but the dishes are well worth it. My highlight of the evening was definitely the cheese platter.

Cuisine vegane raffinée - Edit
Bonne adresse pour changer des éternels burgers et options asiatiques veganes. Là il y a un vrai travail créatif qui laisse une grande place aux produits de saison

Something very special - Edit
We had the 5 course menu and it was absolutely amazing. Every dish burst of flavour. The staff explained each platter beforehand, which helped to understand the food you ate. In the end we left the restaurant fully satisfied. We will definitely come back again, since they change their menu regularly.

Amazing quality and well thought-out dishes - Edit
Lucky Leek is the fanciest vegan spot in Berlin and you really feel it when you're there. It's in a nice spot of Prenzlauerberg and has a beautiful interior and nice terrace. The staff are very professional and nice and the menu has a choice of 5 or 7 courses, with a wine menu to accompany if desired. Everything we had was great - especially the vegan cheeses. I would recommend this for any special occasion or to bring more elegant family members :)

Wonderful Tasting Menu - Edit
Berlin truly offers an exceptional amount of vegan food options, but do not miss out on Lucky Leek. On a recent trip to Berlin my friend and I were lucky to get a reservation. We ordered the full 6 course tasting menu as we didn’t want to miss any of the options. Not one course disappointed.

Josita Hartanto created a place for a perfect fine dining experience with an amazing menu and professional staff. You can choose your 3, 4 or 5 course menu and also a wine accompaniment if you like. Every course was colourful, exciting and absolutely delicious.

Absolutely amazing - Edit
Located in a nice neighbourhood with cobbled treelined streets the Lucky Leek is the place to visit if you want a great meal in a friendly and cosy setting. The restaurant is rated bib gourmand in the Michelin guide and it is fully earned. We had a 5 course meal with wine pairing and it was a wonderful journey through textures and flavours that was just wow... 2 people 5 courses and 5 glasses of wine for €200 that is a find.

Had a great time - Edit
I've no idea of 'fine cuisine,' but everything we had in our five-course menu with wine pairing was interesting, fun, and tasty. Only four stars because the service messed up the order of the dishes once, something that should not happen given the promised experience and the price level.

Awesome experience - Edit
A beautiful restaurant, very friendly, polite staff and an amazing, extraordinary haute cuisine. We had the 5-course-menue. It was really an explosion of so many flavours in our mouths. We were also perfectly full, so the portions are not tiny. Beautifully decorated/served plates. Definitely worth the money.

Best vegan restaurant! - Edit
I have been vegan for over three years now and ate in vegan restaurants all over the world, but Lucky Leek is still easily the best one! The 5 course menu and the cheeze are always awesome. We loved every bite of it. Drinks were always fantastic as well. Lucky Leek will always be our first choice for a restaurant when there's a special occasion😄

If you're up for a fancy vegan dinner, this is your place :) - Edit
I'm normally not that much into fancy restaurants, but I genuinely enjoyed this dinner! Great food, very nicely served, friendly service and overall lovely atmosphere despite the "fine dining" set up. We had the three course menu (once with the dessert and once with the cheese plate) with a perfect wine pairing - portions are small but we didn't leave hungry!😄

Not worth it - Edit
Classy dinner spot in Berlin offering two menu options (3 course and 5 course).
Read moreI ordered the three course menu which consisted of a squash, carrot, and bell pepper soup, eggplant schnitzel, and pumpkin strudel.
First, service was SUPER slow. There was an excessively long amount of time between each course, which made the dinner flow feel disjointed. Before the meal they bring you two small starters—a spoon with ratatouille and vegan chorizo and some sort of cheese roll. The former was nothing remarkable while the roll was actually delicious. Next, the soup was nothing special—your ordinary blended squash and carrot affair. It lacked salt in my opinion as well as flavor. The schnitzel was two chunks of breaded and fried eggplant with a few other veggies on a plate. Their sauces lacked flavor so the whole dish was disappointingly bland despite an abundance of very interesting textures. Finally, the dessert was gorgeously presentes and the sauces and different elements on the plate were all delicious and well done—except the actual strudel. The strudel itself had a nice texture but tasted like squash wrapped in strudel, and not in a good way. I’m one to always complain about desserts being too sweet, so it was a first for me that a dessert lacked sweetness. It really did taste like they just put plain, unseasoned pumpkin into a pastry and accompanied it with sweet sauces—and it was not a pleasant turnout.
Overall, given how much I heard about this place and how much their menu of scanty portions costs, I have to say I am severely disappointed. Dining here was a waste of time and money. In a city like Berlin with SO many great vegan choices, you will most certainly find much better food elsewhere and for half the price. Oh, and in that same line of thought, they don’t let you pay with a credit card for bills under $100, which I found absurd. Honestly, skip this one. Not worth it in the least.
Cons: Bland food, Overpriced , Slow service

I'm flabbergasted. When they first opened I was eating there practically every night and it was first class, still the best vegan food I've ever eaten, 10 years later. I find this critique hard to believe, they were so passionate about their food. If I ever go back to Berlin, it will definitely be my first place to visit. Maybe it was a rare bad night for you.

Classy vegan gourmet experience! - Edit
We had the three course menu and were treated to a large variety of great flavors within each dish. Our dinner experience culminated in the cheese platter with a selection of exceptionally delicious homemade vegan cheeses. All dishes were as delicious as they were arranged beautifully and testimonies of real craftsmanship. Obviously, in such a place the portion sizes are rather small but each mouthful was a joy!
