Fantastic and flexible cooking class - Edit
I made an appointment with Lua to take her cooking class the following day and had a wonderful time cooking up a mostly vegetarian meal. Pomelo salad, the crepes and a banana tapioca dessert with magically expanding shrimp chips for the salad. She showed and let us try different herbs and we got started on the prep for a fantastic meal. It is well worth your time and Lua is a great instructor. 5⭐️

Cooking Class at Lua‘s place - Edit
I enjoyed a really nice cooking class session at Lua‘s kitchen. I went there with my boyfriend who eats meat. Lua created a menu where we both were happy - same dishes but always with a vegetarian option (vegan also possible). Besides the delicious food Lua is a great host and I definitely would cook with her again. Thanks for the Food experience and for the recipes!

Memorable experience - Edit
Great vegan cooking class with Lua. She was generous enough to hold it even though I was the only participant.
Read moreWe cooked some of the most famous Vietnamese dishes (summer rolls, pho and banana/coconut soup) and they were all delicious. She explained each step carefully, and I feel really confident to be able to make them on my own now.
Lua was a lovely host, and I was really interested to hear about all her previous and future travels. I would 100% recommend this class for a more personal experience.
Pros: Excellent food, Great host, Lovely apartment

Awesome experience - Edit
Come to a vietnamese home, learn cooking, mingle with locals, eat really well, that‘s what you get at Lua‘s place. Better book at least a day or two before, she needs to get fresh stuff from the market, which can be difficult when you wanna come the same day.
Read morePros: Authentic, Mingle with locals, learn to do it yourself
Cons: A little off the center

Super chef! - Edit
Lua introduced me to more home-cooked Vietnamese dishes than I can even recall. I remember vividly how patient she was with my first clumsy attempts to cook ban xeo (delicious Southern savory pancakes), how she always explained the difference between all those unknown fresh herbs she used, and, of course, eating them with friends, often seated on the floor.
Read moreLua is a gentle guide into the world of refined Vietnamese cooking, with a particular love for all vegetarian (and therefore usually vegan) delicacies and alterations of the best classical dishes this rich cuisine has to offer. When cooking with her you will not only learn about the dishes you're making, but also a great deal about her culture, and the life of young people in Vietnam.
Pros: Authentic experience, Clean and proper, Kind host
